Yes I see the connection that is precisely the point I was making. That tax cuts are made to offset the decreasing GDP because typically when they are made the economy is doing bad. Therefore to increase spending they give back the money. I was eluding to the fact that tax cuts are a bad sign. How a better sign is increasing GDP not because of tax cuts, but because salaries are increasing, and consumer spending is up. Therefore I do not understand when people embrace and are joyed by tax cuts, meanwhile it is really a call for action because there is in fact decreasing (or increasing at a decreasing rate) GDP which is usually a factor of Consumer spending decreasing because of economic trouble, also decreasing salaries, etc.

Ok, then I have a question for you. Woud you rather get a few thousand back? Or would you rather have regular salary increases? I just think it comes down to this concept. And government is trying compensate where the job sector is falling short on. For example a friend at Dow Jones told me how no one was getting a salary increase or bonus this year. Now this is more alarming even in the face of a possible tax cut. simply because the concept of the decreasing buying power of the dollar and rising prices.

Thanks I appreciate the opinions and suggestions. However they all came a day late and a dollar short, hehe. The man is fine with it, I talked to the friend over the phone we caught up some more. It turns out he is in a relationship himself. Plus the nature of my relationship with him for the most part was a friendship. He was a strong influence in my life in the past. I valued his opinions and actually it was his support that helped me make some of the biggest decisions in my career. He was very supportive and encouraging and actually as the conversation revealed he was really curious to see how things turned out in my life and career path. Basically he was contacting me for that reason. So I am meeting him for lunch one of these days, to thank him in person. And hopefully we can remain friends. Basically both men in this situation disproved to very gendertyping falacies. Men can be confident and secure enough to understand that you can have a male friend. And more significant that men and women can be friends. I am very content to say these are in fact simply stereotypes and people can fall within and outside of them.

I got into a heavy debate about the significance of tax cuts. In my opinion, when government officials are pushing for them they are usually doing it for two reasons. 1. Re-election- no need to explain why. 2. Horrible economy- It is actually a bad sign in my opinion. Meaning that overall GDP is either decreasing or increasing at a decreasing rate (in account for inflation, etc). Also unemployment rates are going up, and there is little promotion, salary increases, bonuses in most job sectors. Therefore people are making less then they would be if the economy was growing. However to counteract inflation and the decreasing buying power of the average person, tax cuts are implemented. Overall I rarely think tax cuts are a good sign, I actually think tax increases are. It usually means sales are increasing, salaries are increasing, etc. Now I know not everyone agrees with me and my theories, but what are your thoughts. Am I completely off?

Actually the city does not pay for it. Even if they did it would still be money well spent in my opinion. The installation of the TVs creates jobs and also increases sales for those already in the field. For example, people must make the TVs, others must create the components necessary to install, and someone must do the actual installing. This in itself generates more GDP without including the new revenues created by the investments made for advertising in these cabs. Quite frankly projects such as this help stimulate growth in sectors which are either decreasing in sales or plateaud. In my opinion these are the type of projects that the city and the government itself should create. Its effects on the overall economy are more sound then tax cuts or deficit spending.

I agree the contrast the black and white striped shirt creates is what makes the shirt and the print on it stand out. Otherwise it will look like a cheap shirt with writing that is lost in the black space.

That was hilarious, Speaking of the dixie chicks, what happened to them is just ridiculous. And pro war people, like myself are not, or should not be in the slightest way insulted by this. Hence the theme was the overly stretching use of patriotism used as a bases for war. Which I myself think is completely wrong.

Actually in the case I am very guilty of underestimating men. I told my bf, And he actually was surprised that I would even think this would bother him. He said something along the lines of, I appreciate that you know you are free to do as you please but you take my feelings into consideration. However I am displeased that you would think my reaction would be one of jealousy, etc. At this point in our relationship I imagined that you would expect understanding, security, confidence from me. I know you are not like most women, I know our relationship is not like most relationships. And up until today I assumed you thought I was unlike most men as well. well, I definitely was not expecting this response. But overall I could not be more confident and happy to have someone like him in my life. Its conversations like this that make me realize how he surpasses more than I dreamed possible in a man, in a human.

Actually I thought it was pretty funny. However if anyone sees gendertyping as anything more than being humorous, well does that mean, "all men are pigs" or in reference to any male that believes that particular quote, would that be proving that "all men are stupid" or "all men think with their penis"?
