  1. I was unaware of the fact that one could posses more than one "best" asset Very impressive this board seems to be filled with superhumans. hmmm, maybe I should consider attending the meetup
  2. Anyone who wears a monogram purse is a label whore. Further the monogram design is the cheapest designer piece in any given line. Someone who genuinely likes the design has bad taste, or lacks any fashion sense. Real of fake in my opinion both parties are guilty of following a label trend. Sadly every designer targets this particular market with their cheaply made and poorly designed purses. I guess since this thread was originally made in reference to ugg boots, my opinon of the worst fashion victim would definitely be someone sporting some ugg boots and an LV purse...
  3. Saddam is captured and it only costs the United States the largest deficit in American history...I guess it is a matter of opinion whether or not it was worth it. In reality only time can judge the value of actions. Foresight offers little comfort but it is not a measure of value. When history has written the final chapter of this war, hindsight will reveal to the world whether or not the aftermath of this war was in fact a "victory".
  4. Why do people resort to name calling when they disagree on a particular issue? It is simply a sophmoric display of immaturity and a lack of tolerance for people with differing views. Further, I was excluded from the list of people who were refered to as "idiots" because they shared similar views to someone's "drunk uncle". However I fail to see how such a correlation can be used as a basis for measuring someone's level of intelligence. However the fact that someone would use this as a basis for name calling and to discredit the value of this particular opinion is only an indicator of that person's level of intelligence, or lack there of.
  5. Really? I adore most of the pieces in his spring line. I must admit though I have a thing for french designers. Well speaking of hit and misses for 04', I think Christian Dior's line was hideous. Here are a few:
  6. I know this is a bit late, but since this thread is still alive and most people seem to miss the bigger picture in terms of what the message transmitted by this show means, well I will just add my opinion. First off, fundamentally this show is a sympton of the ever growing infectious spread of reality tv. To some degree I would not even call it "television". Basically television networks have teamed up with low budget producers to create low costing programs. This translates into ever increasing profits because they no longer have to pay for actors, writers, studio time, etc. However it is outright disgusting the way they exploit the lives of the people on the show and manipulate the context of the video to create misleading and sometimes untruthful biographies which in "reality" do not come even close to "Real Life" depictions. Actually to some degree this clubber episode amongst the other reality shows is the closest thing to real life mtv has ever produced. And the end result, is that real life is ugly. I am somewhat unable to understand why so many people on this board are outraged by their belief that this show was not a depiction of real life. It appeared very real to me because there were no directors and the post production work seemed only to incorporate titles and cuts, etc. Very minimal and not really done to manipulate the context much as is commonplace in shows such as the bachelor, etc. Some people have argued that the use of the term "clubber" is somehow now permanently stained and will carry a stigma as a direct result of this show. However I fail to draw the same parallel. Any viewer who would watch the show and come to that conclusion based on the experiences of a few individuals is quite ignorant and judgemental. Idealistically I tend to believe that the average person carries a grain of intelligence and common sense not to make such an erroneous correlation to the term "clubber" and "loser", etc. With all that said I think the outrage of this board, the clubbing community, etc is misdirected to some degree. People should not be angry at the portrayl of "clubber" on mtv which they think is un common in their community. As mentioned earlier this show is only a symptom of what the bigger problem is. Consumers as a whole should be outraged at the exploitation of individuals as a blatant and greedy attempt of networks to make profits, at the cost of no longer making worthwhile tv shows and putting forth trash tv nationwide.
  7. I also believe more then 3k people died on sept 11th, many are unreported because body remains were never found. Further they can not be pronounced dead but are instead labeled missing. I definitely think more Americans are dying in Iraq then being reported. Again the whole MIA concept. The military is even worse because there is also another term "unknown whereabouts" basically governments stamp these terms on papers to avoid making accurate death counts. Until the war is over we will not hear an actual estimate of the death count. Another reason for an inaccurate estimate may be the fact that it is an election year. I strongly agree with the statement that America should not tell other countries what to do. It is a clear unwarranted outstretch of power that to some degree is reminiscent of imperialistic aggressions.
  8. Well I have nothing to do tomorrow and I am interested in checking out a lounge tonight. Preferably a place that plays soulful house, french house something in or similar to those genres. Any suggestions?
  9. Too bad this one was sold: Most women assume that I'm gay, but I'm really not, I'm just a bit effeminate. I'm into romantic movies, long walks on the beach, irish dancing, antiquing. I have 3 cats. My Perfect date: it's superbowl sunday and we're at an empty museum, then to my apartment for a fondu fiesta by the fire.

Has anyone tried that new warming liquid?
  11. Yes, I completely agree. Her style is absolutely fabulous, sexy yet refined and never over the top. I have always thought of her as a modern day Audrey as well. Both have a dancer's type body structure and it just creates beautiful lines that compliment any outfit they wear. I love her...
  12. Im not a fan of the leg warmer look. But I did buy a pair of those boots you described like 2 years ago, they were so comfortable.
  13. I am with you, these have to be the most hideous creations ever made by man. Basically the mixture of commercialization, star idolization and the lack of individual fashion sense all come together and the chemical combustion results in the ugliest but profitable mass production of these boots.
  14. This supposed "leak" of the actual report offers no confirmation that it is the "real report". With that said all of these websites may be reporting false information. The same can be said about other parts of the world, anti semitism is not exclusive to Europe. The fact that these activities "exists" does not mean they are commonplace and widespread as this article attempts to portray. Tolerance throughout an entire country is impossible, anywhere. This statement is an oxymoron and complete bullshit. How can a peace movement involve anti-semitism? Further I do see the correlation to some extent on why peace movement can be tied to anti americanism. Simply because of U.S. hypocritical "peace movement" with the use of this recent war.
  15. Actually what I am starving for is something that is self fulfilling. I want to reach the highest level of self actualization. In which my powers come together in a particularly efficient and intensely enjoyable way, and in which I become more integrated and less split, more open for experience, more idiosyncratic, more perfectly expressive or spontaneous, or fully functioning, more creative, more humorous, more ego-transcending, more independent of lower needs, etc. A state in which I truly become myself, more perfectly actualizing my potentialities, closer to the core of my Being, more fully human. That is what I am starving for....
  16. Name: Isabella Age: 28 Location: upper east side Occupation: Designer One word that describes me: versatile
  17. There are different types of house music, such as hard house, deep house, etc. Only a few of those djs you listed actually play house music. You mentioned you don't care, but I will suggest that if you want to hear what house music is go to a party at shelter. Body and Soul, Cafe con leche those were classic house parties, too bad there not around anymore
  18. How about dolce and gabbana? As I thought of suggesting it I just realized your sn lol I think New York sucks as far as shopping for men's suits are concerned. Give me your measurements next time I'm in Europe maybe I'll bring you back a real suit
  19. People believe his policies will be like his father because this war will always be looked as a burden passed down to his son to carry out. In actuality though his policies have differed. Further Anyone who has paid attention to economic trends knows that during an election year the economy tends to do well. Hopefully people are not misled to believe that a good or bad economy is a direct result of one man's policies or influence. Lets not forget about congress.
  20. It looks good on some men
  21. Check out the suits by Donna Karan, I happen to like them.
