well since you can't remember it must have been a good time. Sounds like you had some sewat, blood, and tears in your trip, but it is all worth it. Did you say you would be working in Kendell? and living on SoBe? thats a shitty commute. If I was you and have any chnace to find a job in between. look around the Aventura area. Broward to live and Sobe to party at. just my 2 cents.
Well my Friday night was crazy as hell. thats why Venu was kinda blur also for me. I drank more on Friday than I have I have in the last year or so. started at Max's for 3 for 1 drinks, then to Venu, 2 very strong drinks, then to Karma, then to Voodoo, and if I remember right back to Karma. between the Karma and voodoo trips thats where it all gets blurry.

lilliz77 - What is your thoughts of your trip?
Sounds like you had a good time but how did other stuff go. Living places, jobs? what you thought of the area besides the clubs. Also interested in how you compare your experiences from Ft. Lauderdale to Miami.
I know it is always nice to visit someplace else, but actually live there is always a big change.
I wish stayed at Venu longer , looks like you all had fun with all of CP, inspite of small crowd.

Well, I had freinds in town this weekend, so I we headed to crobar on Saturday. Dave Waxman was the DJ, I got the guest list covered but of course the commotion at the door is rediculous. I know Matt Martinez is DJ'ing upstairs in the VIP and wanted to hear him also. Of course this VIP thing is a problem, when I have a group of people with me. I only manage a few bands and do not want to leave my friends hangin'.
The place was not too crowded and the main dance floor was trash, with people standing around, like they were in a lounge. As for Waxman, was he really drunk or what? The music selection was decent at best and at first I thought he was trying some build ups and breakdowns, but this was not that case when there is a 2 second pause in the music and we are left standing there with nothing to listen to. This did not happen once or twice but continuous. The trainwrecking was killing the vibe. My freinds were impressed with the club but not all the hassles and shit that came with it. Overall it was a average night. I have had much better at Crobar.
I like going to Opium and Crobar when there are good events, but the hassles bring enjoyment out of the evening. I usually take a fair number of woman and even ratio, but sometimes a group of guys wants to go out and meet some other woman, besides the ones we already know. For this I will be staying in Ft. Lauderdale or other smaller places in Sobe or the grove.

HEY POD , yeah i would have referred them to Lime Bar and Space, but most likely the ladies are not into the music scene like we are. Thats why I gave them the visitors guide to clubbing in Miami response.

First off, I am still drunk at noon.
Well we get to Venu around midnight and great service at the door and then head to bar for some really strong drinks. FX was dishing out the best he had, but unfortunelty not many people heard it. I will admit we did not stay very long since since my friends from out of town wanted to leave and go to some place with a crowd. I like the club, the music, the Dj, great bar service, but no people to bring the energy.
Nice meeting you SotuOrlando and Obby.I know there was other CP'ers there, hopefully this party gets stronger.
Whatever the club did to get the people there for the Jackal & Hyde party they need to do repeat. With the old mystique of the Chilli Pepper, Venu has some barriers to overcome.
For those who stsayed a while, did the dance floor ever get people on it dancing? Just wondering.

From what I know, this is a party for the people. With all the years of experience of Collins and Hughes, they will be able to read the crowd and play to them, be it breaks, house, or trance.

I was just thinking about this today... Where we should all meet up.
There is 3 options:
1. Couches and relaxing area right next to the bar- pretty much our own bartender.
2. in the roped off stage section that no one uses, I guess its supposes to be the VIP , which no one uses, maybe we can get hooked up with drinks there.
3. up in the second floor on eaither side of the DJ booth, there is couches and tables.
I think the main point is where ever we meet up, try and get some drink specials going like a bottle or something. there will be plenty of us.
I have another idea...
I will bring the sticky name tags since there will be alllot of new people.

I would have to say Friday's at Lime Bar have been my favorite place for the last few months, even with the promoters changing. It gets better every week.

Hey SS,
Yeah I check out that websiste every once in a while and go to some of the more underground events also. My favorite music to get down to is Breaks and Jungle and throw some techno in also. I like house but gets a little melodic for me sometimes.
