  1. This'll be the scene at Eric's job in a bit...

Not quite Dan. I may hate my job, but I take my frsutrations out by working out every day. Without my workout I woul go crazy, its therapy for me.

I know im not the only one in the position at work, but glad to know we all support each other when it comes to escaping the real world.

  2. I hate my job. Mindless tasks. People with attitudes. Shitty Pay. Not even in my major I took back in college. I sit at work thinking of all the other stuff I could be doing with my time.

I honeslty see a job as a necessary evil to pay the bills.

I feel like I am in the movie Office Space with all the paper work and TPS reports and memos

Don't get me wrong, I do not mind hardwork. I actually like putting my skills and mind to use daily, but I want a career, not just a job.

Who else is in a shitty job?

Does anyone work for a company that is hiring?

I can do most things dealing with Marketing, Web/ Database development, Management, Fitness, Promotions and Advertsing.

and can learn about anything else.

  3. Most of the dancers you start recognizing from the main companies. There was one night I went to 3 clubs and and the same two girls seemed to follow me to each club with different costumes.

We also have a decent number of drag queens that make the rounds.

  4. Since you will be here on Friday, plan on coming up to Ft. Lauderdale @ Venu for a great night of music. You will have a chance to experience the other parts of South Florida besides just SoBe. Plus it looks like there will be a good number of CP'ers at the party. Good Luck

  5. Man all that info on Detroit brings back so many memories. I grew up about 45 miles south of Detroit and would go to gigs up there in the mid 90's. Saunderson produced cutting edge sound that changed music forever.

Thanks for the link and trip back in time.

  6. There is a huge difference between Jungle and D-n-B.

I can groove to most music and love the funkiness of jungle. Some of the stuff Bad boy Bill did about 3 or 4 years back was great.

Speaking of Chicago, my favorite Jungle track is a song called Jungle Monster ( I think)- which has sampling of Black Water by the Doobie Brothers.

I'd like to hear some funky Dixieland

Pretty mama come and take me by the hand

By the hand, take me by the hand pretty mama

Come and dance with your daddy all night long

I want to honky tonk, honky tonk, honky tonk

    With you all night long

I think it was produced around Chicago.

Lilli , do you know this song? When are you moving down?

  7. Well I made it there also, but only know a few CP'ers personally.

I was really looking forward to another night at Venu, but after all the problems with the monitor, lack of crowd, and no AC I was dissapointed.

My friend and I stayed for a while and were the only ones on the dance floor at times. She was diggin' the music, I was diggin her, but the energy in the place was lacking.

Hopefully the crowd and energy return this week.

We will be there supporting, like a jockstrap! :D

  8. Well as for Breaks in a place like Prive, Mynt, or Nikki Beach, that would never work. First there is no set dance floor for people to actuallty dance. Most poeple go to these places to be seen, not for the music. The people that listen to Breaks be it Nu or Old Skool tend not to wear all the prada or gucci clothes, and go for stuff that you can actually dance in. If a club is going to cater to the "in" and "chic" crowds it is going to look for people with the money and that is also a older crowd.

  9. I honeslty believe Miami is being too closed minded right now to accept a Breaks party. Im speaking for the masses in general. The beach is favoring the Miami House sound and more Hip-hop events every week.

The best place is Ft. Lauderdale. If you have the right promotions team, DJ's, and venue; the word will spread North and South and you can draw from both directions. Do this on a Saturday night and you won't have much competition.

    Hopefully this happens! Good Luck!

  10. Since there seems to be a decent amount of people going to Venu on Friday night. Who is up for a little ( OK allot) of pre-drinking before we head to Venu.

Max's has 3 for 1 drinks, can't go wrong there.

I will be down there by 10, then maybe over to Karma for my House fix before Stryke blows the roof off Venu.

    Who is game? Roll Call?

  11. As you go South you will have more to chose from. Ft. Lauderdale is having some good parties right now and new clubs are in the works. The amount of woman in Ft. Lauderdale is rediculous, good tunes - everything from House, Techno, and breaks. Plus it is only 45 minutes from West Palm.

Good places to go Karma, Venu, Allure. and for pre- drinking hit up Max's for 3 for 1 drinks and Sidebar.

If you do make it to Miami, Check out Maze/ Lime, Nerve, Crobar, Opium, Life, Space34.

You will not be dissapointed make the drive down.
