if it were up to some people in there, we'd love a promoter to bring in cool people. i have no idea why they bring in skribble, and he's not stupid, he only comes on weekends he KNOWS there will be massive crowds, for instance, last weekend, noone was there for him, it was friggin' spring break. and last time he was here, it was thanksgiving weekend. so it makes it look like HE brought all the people in. i took a quick survey in the entrance line, noone was there for him. meanwhile he gets a table for his buddies, all the drinks they want, etc. where's the love for the residents that keep people in there EVERY weekend? anyway, sure i'd love to have some hot names in there, but i'm noone. we've been trying to get some video turntables in there for awhile, maybe link 2 of the screens in there to that, but that's been "in the works" for about a year now. things just happen really slow in there. i guess because it's more of a corporation than your normal club is.

i was in resorts last weekend and asked about it. found an entertainment guy who knew, he said may also, and nikki beach's website says Atlantic City-coming soon. so it's a reality. they'll be pre-assembling the structure then bringing it to AC and assembling it on the beach, apparantly. should be just like the one in Miami, multi-level, palm trees, etc etc. gonna be nice! glad i have my casino vendor's license

last weekend rumor is the host, 2 security guards and 2 bartenders got arrested for dealing drugs in there. NOT the way to run a club, imo.

during there summer there are two rooms open, well 3 actually now, if you count the "star bar" which is outside. here's the casbah (which you speak of): here's "downstairs", the Xanadu Showroom: here's outside, the Star Bar:

i haven't heard otherwise, i don't believe both rooms will be open. first night for both rooms is memorial day weekend. xanadu will be open that night, then close again for a couple weeks. that's what happened last year. but everything's subject to change i guess. i'm gonna try to get there around noon, play for a half hour and be entered into the all-day contest, see if i can win myself a boat or something

march 19th, skribble is in the casbah. not that i look forward to him coming or anything, he totally screwed up the Taj employee party last weekend. came about 1-1/2 hours late, Mark Brown got pissed, etc etc.

moe doesn't spin in there on friday nights, just saturday's unless someone calls out on friday. tonight is dj jeffrey mac and stevie p. side note, casbah is no cover on friday's till midnight. -tony

yea, stop by the casbah afterwards, the fighters usually show up after they take their showers and stuff. last time they fought, one dude showed up (i guess from one of the smaller bouts beforehand) and his faced was all effed up.

clubs in AC: Casbah - Trump Taj Mahal, doors at 10:30, closes at 6am (barely a wait) Mixx - Borgata doors at 10:30, closes at 6am (up to a two hour wait on saturday nights) Deja Vu - New York Avenue doors at 10:30, closes at 6am (i think) Club Tru/Studio6 - MLK Blvd. doors at 10:30, closes at noon as you can see by my screenname, i'd pick casbah. all clubs have a cover for guys, casbah is always free for girls, live dancers, good music, good amount of bars, good staff, and it's in the taj. can't beat that! -tony

no you don't have to get there at 7. but the line does extend about an 1/10th of a mile, no joke. that's if you arrive at the line after the doors open. if you're pre-gaming or hangin at the downstairs bar at 9ish, you'll be fine. and it is sold out, according to ticketmaster and sources inside the taj. but i know a guy who has a couple extra tickets, he'll be there around 7 at the downstairs bar, not sure how much he'll want for them tho.

yes it's true, both the Casbah and the Xanadu showroom will be open. Saturday night resident DJ Stevie P will own the Xanadu (downstairs room) all night. Upstairs (casbah itself) will be Moe Green till 2:15 then DJ Jeffrey Mac till 6am. tickets are 85, not sure if they'll change day of or anything...open bar is 10-12, kind of odd, since doors on a normal night aren't until 10:30pm. but i'll be running around at the Taj around noon on friday, have stuff to do. if you wanna find me, i'll mostly be upstairs, i'll have a white shirt and black pants on, maybe sunglasses, and i'll be taking pictures/video all night. prolly have my gf (redhead) and Moe Green's girl by my side. Last year rocked, so hopefully this year's even better. See you guys there!

Club TRU/Studio 6 is on MLK blvd, not far from the boardwalk Casbah is right on the boardwalk in the Taj The Wave in the Marina really isn't a club, it's more of a lounge with a live band and dj The Mixx is in the Borgata, just to mention that the Borgata and the Marina are in the marina district, about a 10 minute drive from the boardwalk depending if you're up or downtown De Ja Vu is right on the boardwalk too, not associated with any casino. it's across the street from the Atlantic Palace, and next to a strip club called Carousel. That's pretty much it for Atlantic City.

but you know how it gets played out, then you hear it again a couple months later, you love it all over again? i dunno, maybe just me.

we have this asian guy that comes every week, is the first on the dancefloor, and wears who knows what. we've dubbed him "grasshopper travolta". one night, must have been his worst, he comes in with a white fishnet shirt, and white see-thru hammer pants. i looked thru my pics, but i'm not sure if i was able to snap one off of that getup. so do you guys have anyone that comes on a regular basis that gives you a good chuckle ? -tony

can i put casbah in the running for lighting/effects? this was before the promo-only-pioneer event during the IMC: they recently upgraded all the screen projectors, much brighter now: don't forget the confetti shots: the sound system is small, so i'm not thinking that it's anywhere in the top 5 or maybe even 10 in nj, not sure on the exact specs, but it's clean, i'll give it that.

best italian food in the world has to be at Joe Italiano's Maplewood Inn. oringinal location on route 30 in hammonton, another location on route 30 near berlin, and a third location on the black horse pike (322) in mays landing. best dinner ever.
