Alba is like you said, black spikey hair, glasses, dances around like a fag with a big smile on his face, and i think he only fist-pumps when he actually makes a seamless mix. Tommyboy is a big dude,weight-wise. plays mostly trance on vinyl.

colleen shannon ? that's who you must mean. July 16th she'll be here. she was here last year for a night. she's hot, plays pretty good tracks.

oh god, i think it was mike alba. i'm surprised someone liked him, usually 1 out of 4 of his mixes are so off it makes me want to leave.

if/when you go to tru, wash your hands often, aka every 5 minutes. the diseases are airborne in that place, i stay away.

you guys ever witness a Farruggio set ? he's nuts in the booth, and his mixes are as sick as anyones. Also some big props for being played on Sirius Radio, and the 3 vinyl mixes he already has being sold this year on the shelves.

resorts is actually a great looking place as of the last 2 years. since they've finished their new tower, and re-designed all the common spaces in the original tower, it looks nice. nikki beach will be about 2 city blocks long, between the Taj's Steel Pier, and the next pier south. seen here:http://maps.google.com/maps?q=08401&ll=39.357158,-74.421848&spn=0.006351,0.008454&t=k&hl=en Nikki beach will not be owned by Resorts, they just have some sort of deal with resorts to use resort's beach property. so far, they have wood... and house of blues at showboat is coming right along.....

it was the first nightclub inside a casino back in the 80's. and it's been pretty much unchanged since it opened. but yea, it's pretty much an open air place, more of a lounge. and it's a band/dj on thurs/fri/sat. also open sunday, just a dj. although they did get a brand new A&H board 2 weeks ago. i filled in there 2 weekends last month while the resident was on vacation. may have to do it again this weekend if he heads back down to florida for a couple days.

i don't know who steve louis is, but Mike Penrod seems to be doing all the work for this. he's been back and forth between AC and South Beach a few times in the past month setting this crap up.

i was just over at the job fair. in their magazine, the kick-off party is an outdoor concert may 27th with Ja-rule. i gave them my demo's and they said they're gonna review everyone's demo and call us back in about 3 weeks. there's another opening date, for the 20th i think, which will be their "celebrity" opening night. must not be opened to the public that night. not sure. more to come from me and velvet.....

magazine release of "in2 magazine" tsettos will be spinning and the mixx will host it with their food. i rsvp'd already, anyone else going ?

i'm glad the better atlantic city clubs actually HAVE a dress code. casbah, mixx, the quarter, all pretty much read as follows: no headgear no tims or workboots no sports jerseys keeps the raggety losers out. makes for a nicer night too.

tsettos is at the mixx on 5/27, they don't have anything else listed for that weekend. 5/27 opening of nikki beach the taj will have casbah/xanadu/star bar open all the casino's with beach bars should have their beach bars open. not sure on the completion date of house of blues in showboat, doesn't look like it'll be done in under 2 months unless they bust their asses. tru/studio doesn't have anything listed past april, but i'm sure they'll have some party, as well as deja vu.

the casbah hosted a bar and nightclub display/show and i met mike penrod tonight, owner of nikki beach. really cool guy and had a couple minutes to talk to me. he verified that it will have the 15k general admission type capacity for beach concerts, it'll be bigger and better than his establishment in miami, and it'll open May 27th, not the 28th. sounds like it's gonna be a good time. so you might see me behind the mixer when she opens up

xanadu will be open on memorial day weekend, then close again till july 4th weekend. then it'll be open from july 4th till labor day weekend. same goes for the outside deck. saturday's is moe 10-2:15 then stevie p 2:15-close. but when xanadu's open, stevie gets xanadu to himself. so i dunno what's going to happen in the cas, might be moe and me upstairs and paulie day outside, or moe and paulie day upstairs and me outside, or maybe they won't use either of us and 2 new guys will come in, who knows. have to wait and see what they decide. and i have no idea who the mixx uses, could be just Brian B doing all the work. he got himself in a nice spot, left dj'ing at the casbah to go over there and made himself a good little home.
