the only possible venue right now that I can imagine these two wanting to play at is Crobar...this is going to be unbelievable

i've since ceased going to LI clubs (aka shopping center meat markets), but the most fun i've had was at South Beach in freeport back in '00 - anyone rembember that place? it was on the water and huge, it had an indoor club, huge outdoor bar, outdoor stage, even a basketball court (where there were about 4-5 brawls each night, hahah)...good times

Haven't been to Crobar nearly enough as I wish, but Armin this past summer spun an amazing, high-energy set....even though it was a Thursday night he had that place turned out

too many to name top club nights, but the nights that stick out in my head as being really special: PVD in Central Park in a MONSOON, June 04 - hearing For an Angel as we we're walking out, we hit the brakes, look at each other, and sprint back in to dance our asses off... DT @ Arc, Classics Night, Spring 04 - if you were there between 4-11 AM, you know what I'm talkin bout. Ferry @ Avalon, Nov 03 - my first time at Avalon...got to meet the man himself and talk to him for awhile before he spun his set, I was so starstruck, he he. JP @ SF, Spring 01 - going to school near Philly, this was my first time at a real club...with the live performances, freaks, trannies, barbie dolls, juice heads, POUNDING bass bins, and JP, I jumped right into the NYC club scene and never looked back... Oakie @ Hammerstein ballroom, Thanksgiving night 01 - this was one of the first club nights after 9/11, and the unity of that crowd was unforgettable...

All of Ferry and Armins albums are top-notch...my all-time faves are Oakenfold - Tranceport, S & D - Northern Exposure, PVD - Out there and Back, and George Acosta - Awake.

saw him for the first time this summer at Crobar...you know exactly what you're going to get with him - hard, uplifting trance with a lot of well-known songs thrown in. last time at crobar he dropped As the Rush comes, Silence, Velvet morning, adagio for strings, burned with desire, lucky star, and just about everything else off 76 and State of Trance 2004. He totally plays to the crowd, so there will definitely be a lot of dj-worshipping. But his mixing is decent and he played a solid 7-8 hour set last time, so hopefully he won't be jetting out the back door a la Oakenfold. I'll definitely go back to see him.

My friends and I have Ibiza 05 plans in the works...shooting for late July, for about 9 days, its gonna be INSANE

I saw the flyer for the NYE event, PVD will be @ Ikon and Tiesto will be spinning out in LA. They're doing that "simulcast" thing, which if anyone went to see Sasha @ avalon on NYE last year (while diggers was in LA), is such a crock. The quality of the video feed was like an awful camera phone. I'm avoiding big clubs this year for NYE, I can't deal with the crowds/tourists

first time i heard him was for Classics night @ arc opening for Danny. he's got a residency at Release in San francisco...i loved his Radio 1 essential mix earlier this summer, PM if you wanna rip it from me

funniest costume i saw last night was some girl in a banana costume - she musta been about 150 degrees in that thing...

had a great time last night, I'm still recovering...definitely enjoyed Danny's set, he came on a little later than expected. Loved that mix of Sandcastles that he dropped early in the night. Wasn't nearly as crowded as I expected, but that was a good thing. Tons of room to dance wherever you went. Spent most of the night on the 2nd level by the bar & balcony...silverbull it was cool to meet you in person - take care of that ankle. left around 7, and luckily no ringing in my ears like I usually do from that venue. that was my first time seeing danny in a club that big, and he definitely had a different type of set - big-room banging house. Overall great night.

Anyone know what time Danny's starting?? Any opening dj's??

I totally agree with you there silverbull...after Cox my ears were ringing for 2 fuckin weeks, no joke. I swore I'd never go back unless a truly good dj came...Ferry was great last night but the dancefloor was a nightmare
