  3. would post a pic, but my site is still censored...lol oh well
  4. Parade ATW was in full effect. Video will be available shortly. And of course, an amazing set by the one and only - Denny Tsettos. Truly a talented individual. Behind the scenes pics now posted.
  5. Interesting point to think about... we had a great time as well, minus some guy who continued to intentionally put his hand in front of my camera, or someone dancing without consideration into our video guy... It’s funny though, people feel they can dance anywhere, literally... and they don't give a shit about anyone else... the same thing happened when I fell there, some idiot just kept dancing with his glow sticks like inches from my head instead of giving me space... With the talents of JP, Steve and Rafi - it is really something to experience, just would like to see some considerate people as well...
  6. simply insane... a little over crowded, but nonethelesss... an eventful night, much respect to HOME for an amazing show... you know where to go to see the pics video soon...
  7. Chicagos? Old Joeys? Whoa... anyone remember Trumps? lol How about Club Diamond? holy shit! some old school joints... i used to have my fam drop me off at Joey's when I was like 15! um... George LaMond... or how about, 2 In The Room? IT'S JUST A...
  8. I agree... this thread should be seen by everyone... some real funny shit here... actually, these should be spirit's new series of collectible postcards/flyers for saturday nights...
  9. Is this for real? No seriously... for real? come on... this guy still uses the name Vanilla Ice? this can't be right... $13 tix? It must be a very sad day in his career, will he be performing his greatest hits? sad, sad man...
  10. Kevin and Pullen? That's a sick team... should be very exciting... great music awaits...
  11. Parade ATW will be taping this event as well as taking photos... see you all there!

Celebrate National Underwear Day in style – expect panty give aways and all kinds of panty party fun. Presiding over our panty party is Mike Whitmore who is riding on the forefront of the underground – his sound is the perfect mixture of the best of Jr Vasquez, Danny Tenaglia and Eric Morillo. DJ Exacta is on the cusp of becoming the next big thing with 3 upcoming Subliminal records for international release over the next year. His diverse sound is commercial underground, mashing up radio hits with unique and driving beats. 13. Elvin S (Clique Entertainment) Sundays at SOHO 323 Todd Mallis and Sal Morale Open Bar 10-11pm Doors Open at 10pm Sushi Till 3am Soho 323 323 West Broadway Table Res: 917-216-0403 ------------------------------------- Thursdays at Spirit DJ Kid Capri ------------------------------------- My personal opinion, Avalon Hip-hop room is too crowded to enjoy yourself. It's so crowded that you are litterally sandwiched every way you turn. If your not into dancing, and are just loooking for a drunken good time, Avalon's hip-hop room will work.
  14. Parade ATW will be in attendance this Saturday for Junior Sanchez. Look out for the full review of this off-broadway show on monday.
  15. sure, why not - crobar kicks some ass... could it be the only club in manhattan that only cares what happens in crobar land? they mind their own business, worry about their own parties, and never get caught up on the next trend that avalon, spirit, etc is doing... ahh, a clubbers club... i mean a real "club" of people
  16. hmmm... CD vs Vinyl? It's the same debate from over a decade ago when people debated Drum Machines vs Drum Sets, or Digital Recordings vs Analog Recordings, or how about Sampling or Live Instruments? Personally, I believe that digital reproduction and playback has technically evolved to the point where it doesn't really matter anymore. Shit, i have a degree in recording engineering, and although I LOVE VINYL, technology makes life easier and at the end of the day, even if i have a preprogrammed set - i still had to learn my tools and create the concepts let alone one must have the vision to execute along with great song selection... it's not like you walk up to a computer and go, "Hey. I would like a 2hr 32min set of todays best music, mixed and arranged dramatically correct - oh, and please do not forget to make sure it is all musically correct as well." and then all of a sudden the digital DJ gets a CD created by some computer which he goes and drops into the player at the club... and besides, if you were a DJ, would you wanna carry at least one crate of records (50lbs) from the airport, into a club and back again? If you were a DJ, wouldn't you like the option of burning your latest remix to test out on the crowd? How about this, if you were on the dance floor - would you love to hear your favorite DJs new mixes - before the mainstream industry had the opportunity to influence the final mixes? hmmmmm.... this debate is as old as dirt... i guess it is really more about people letting go of emotion baggage and memories as to allow oneself to try something new and focus on be creative with new technologies instead of clinging onto the past, but hey - some peolpe still prefer rotorary phones instead of touch-tone, right?
  17. This may be one of the best ideas I have heard since I began going out. The idea of clubs over-charging for soda and water just so that it pushes the consumer to notch up an extra dollar or two for liqour is ridiculous. For those who do not drink liqour (like a firned of mine), spending $30 or more on soda in a night is just stupid. Finally, someone out there has a plan. I hope NYC venues follow this lead as well.
  18. No diggity. Deko was one poppin' joint this past Thursday night. Jerry, thanks for hooking it up. Great time had by all. The video and stills look slammin'!
  19. The last post was addressed to you as well as the other members who were only able to say cheesey things like "your site is corny"... but you did sound kind of nasty, didn't you? lol anyways, I am finsihed occupying my time with this thread and will no longer post any Parade ATW announcements on CP until Dave and I come to a mutual agreement that benefits the both of our organizations as well as the members of our EDM community...
  20. Here's the thing, don't know you, never met you, have no clue who you are or a few others, but it sounds like you are just trying to stay PC (pretty easy thing to do, is it not?). Like I have said before, why not answer the questions or prove the facts wrong that present. Instead all that is posted are "bashings" of our site, which proves nothing. Sitting there typing away angry opinions does not solve anything. And personally, this may have been one of the most interesting threads with REAL shit in a while. Props to CP for not dropping this thread. Take note from your man Dave, read through his replies - that is the sign of an intelligent man speaking appropriately here.
  21. Dave, I will PM you sometime this week. I appreciate your sincerity and patience in this matter. But, the main reason why we link to our site is because there are archives of stories and other features. Please understand that we really are not stealing your members. I am a member of CP and I see no reason why I would ever stop posting and participating in this community because of our netzine or anyone else’s. As far as I am concerned, the CP board is full of great people and whether or not CP is responsible for that - it is what it is and that won't change. Of course I want people to see the work we do and of course I want our freelance writers, photographers, and sponsors etc to be showcased. Obviously that is why we created the site. I really think we can work through a resolve and I sincerely believe we should. I personally believe we both have something special to offer and both offerings are totally unique from each others. I will be in touch Dave. Thanks, Shane
  22. not really, because after looking at our sites stats... club planet barely has sent a total of 4% of our traffic since december 2003... which basically means that about 96% of our traffic is generated on other marketing and ad strategies... so i guess CP is making a big deal over nothing...so what's CP affraid of? why do they feel they need to hide outside sources of interest to their members if they are confident in the service they provide? and it's not like CP members live and die on this message board, obviously there is a world outside the boards and our 96% of traffic proves it... so why not let CP members make the choice instead of blindfolding them and telling them there is nothing better out there than CP, is that not tactics of control? P A R A D E ATW fears nothing, it is really FREE and NON-POLITICAL... so the next time you drop by our site, remember the Beastie Boys interview, or the Junior Sanchez interview, or the Nightlife Videos or any of our unique pieces of content that CP just doesn't have... as for the "agreements" sucks when the truth comes out, and hey - i guess the "agreements" are the politics of CP, it's a shame that I as a member of this "community" (i mean controlled marketing environment) was under the impression this was actually a message board, but i guess not... it's just a big advertising vehicle who's nottom line concern is revenue and not the members... oh well march on... this thread has been quite educational on the politics of CP, thanks for your time guys
