Attention all seekers of thrills: The Thrillseekers are coming to Spundae at the Circus Disco on Saturday, August 5th. So stand warned: you will be entirely bereft of thrills if you fail to attend this top notch party. Most followers of the dance/electronica spheres should be well familiar with Steve Helstrip and his Thrillseeking output, as he's landed some of the past decade's most massive and ubiquitous hits (i.e. “Synaesthesia,†and “Dreaming Of Youâ€). But his empire's only continued to grow and expand, and his live/DJ sets are unbelievably unforgettable. This is not all, however. Also spinning will be Kristina Sky and Fei-Fei, plus the backroom will hold its own surprises, like Carlos' Birthday Extravaganza, and the possibility of many more acts/artists. Seek the thrill. Steve Helstrip has been looming large in the dance music consciousness for at least seven years now, due to his consistently smash hits (most recently “By Your Sideâ€), euphoric remix work (for luminaries like Tiesto, Timo Maas, etc), and beloved live performances at taste-making global clubs ranging from The Ministry to Godskitchen to Gatecrasher. But his working roots are actually as a computer game developer, for Manic Media, near Oxfordshire. On the side, however, he began toying with basic home studio music equipment, with which he crafted the trance milestone “Synaesthesia.†The humble hit sold over twelve thousand copies and forever changed the course of his life. Infinite radio stations and DJs embraced the booming single, chief among them Paul Van Dyk. He rocked the record for a full six months of steady gigging, thereby assuring it a prominent place in the public's eyes/ears. PVD actually ended up signing the hit to his own Vandit label, whereon he remixed it, thus launching it into the UK top 20. Helstrip's fate, obviously, was sealed. He honed his DJ skills, began playing live, and lost himself in the art of dance music creation, even going so far as to launch his own label, Adjusted Music. He's also involved himself with a slew of key side projects, basically ensuring he stays buried in challenging, artistic projects eight days a week. But the thrill is not gone. Come out, come out. I don't like Avalon for many reasons which also include: - nowhere to sit/chill except for the shady stadium seats - no real personality to the place, it's just a big room - hardly any decent place to dance because of the people not dancing or talking at all - parking costs just as much as to get in I don't know about Avalon booking the best DJs. I've heard better sets by other DJs. The other thing is the promoters entice you with a so-called "extended set" or some other false line. There's just too many hit & misses for that place. When I go out, I don't want to bother with any BS. I want to go out, have fun and enjoy the whole night.

Currently working on writing and producing their artist album and touring the world as DJ’s, G&D will rock it like no other by playing truly unique sets packed with their own productions and premiering upcoming tracks from their new record. As producers, DJ's and remixers, Josh Gabriel and Dave Dresden are chart toppers. Whether they're creating dance tracks for Dido, Dave Gahan or Sarah McLachlan, the duo knows how to spin a record to #1. Between mixing the soundtrack to the FX drama “Nip/Tuck,†debuting their double mix CD "Bloom," and releasing tracks on their underground label Organized Nature, Gabriel & Dresden have a lot to work with when they go into a club for a night of heavy rotation. You may also know them from their massively successful side projects, Motorcycle and Andain and collaborations with Armin Van Buuren and Marcus Schulz. Gabriel & Dresden met at the Winter Music Conference in 2001, when Josh Gabriel was giving out the white label of his first track “Wave 3†and Dave Dresden was scouting new music for Pete Tong. Dresden loved the track, and two weeks later it got played on Tong’s BBC Radio 1 show. Three years later the duo have produced 40 remixes, 10 original tracks, and have a world wide hit as Motorcycle which spent three weeks at #1 on the Billboard charts. Dresden also produces under the name Attention Deficit, and Gabriel writes and produces his own tracks, and has had two acclaimed singles as a producer and member of the group, Andain. Both Gabriel and Dresden have been involved in music since they started their professional careers. Gabriel began writing and producing music after getting his first synthesizer in 1981. 3 rooms of good dancing music throughout the night every Saturday night. The main room is probably the largest dance floor I've ever seen and now with the new addition, it's perfect for those "special event" nights. AVB a couple of weekends ago was insane! Capacity was some where near 4000! Of course the other rooms and out door patio are included. The staff, especially security, are the nices folks you'll ever meet. You will always get greeted by Cole's friendly smile, hand shake and/or hug when handing him your admission ticket. Every week, you will find a different crowd (depending of the DJs) along with some of the regular patrons enjoying the night on the dancefloor, patio, and other areas of the club . It's a great place to bring some newbies when introducing them to the EDM scene or for those "just turned 21" peeps. Another thing is you'll always end up meeting people during the night as everyone is pretty friendly. You can even go alone and feel comfy in a place like CIRCUS. The outdoor BBQ area serves some pretty good food for those that didn't get a chance to have dinner or for those with the late night munchies. My favorite is the special quesadilla with carne asada, while others might prefer the tacos or just a tasty hotdog.
