  1. Hehehehe, I might have to agree wit cha on that one... I believe that I have been properly preserved then
  2. It is unfortunate, because although I have spoken to many people involved, and they have appologized profusely, which is refreshing, I dont feel safe going there anymore... We are the kind of people you want at a club, nice, full of energy, approachable, and like to spend money, not to mention that there is always at least 4 of us fun makers These dudes should have routine debriefing reguarding the stress of their jobs, then maybe they wouldnt jeopardize good business.
  3. I know that the vibe has been changing over the last year or so, people doing different drugs inspiring more aggressive behavior, the new influx of cultures that have made our scene "trendy", and "commercial". I also believe that these certain people have migrated thinking that girls on drugs are easy sexual prey, so here come the predators. Maybe this is why security guards feel they have to be so aggressive, maybe they fear for their lives? On Sat. June 30th, me, my husband, my brother, and a girlfriend were leaving the Ferry Corsten event at Vanguard l.a., half way out my brother realized that he'd had too much to drink and back tracked it to the bathroom ( because as most civilized people if you can make to the toilet, and not vomit on the floor in front of people, or in a trash can, you do) my husband followed him to make sure he was o.k. So of coarse when the attendant heard the retching he called for security, the stalky brown haired, van damme wanna be enters and starts to bang on the door, that my husband is leaning on looking after my brother, and yells to get out!!, my husband tells him that they are leaving anyway, and that as soon as he is done they would be leaving. the security guard ignores my hubby and continues to bang and yell. My hub then says " hey relax, he is taking a shit as well as yaking, there is no need for this just give us a moment, we are leaving man" Well at this point security guard grabs him by the neck and drags him out of the bathroom to the right into the dark behind the bar, I think thats where the barbacks maybe come in and out of... shoves him up against the wall and puts a F**kin knife to his throat and tells him he'll kill him so dont f**k with him. hubby says "what are you gonna do man...kill me in a club?" he then tossed my hubby out of this area, hubby returned to bathroom got my brother and starts to walk out when he is again grabbed by the neck handed security to security out of the door. WTF man!!! we are the last people that need that. We have gone to that club soo many times and done table/bottle so many times. That shyt was out of control. I am so enraged over this.. I have emailed Dave Dean, The vanguard, and the Hollywood nightclub association. The only reason we did not file a police report is because my hubby feared retaliation, seeing as all my info. is tied in with the club. Booo on these god complex, ego trippin, bully mofo's. And I just wondered if this has happend to anyone else?
  4. TSG you are spot on... about 99% of the people I meet would never guess my age, and weyes, and shorty star can attest to that. But on the other hand I wont ever tell you my age either....hehehe. the secret is to always be young at heart, and remember that hope springs eternal.
  5. Hahahahaha! ooooh girl made a tear come out and everything... but I think me and a few friends will be hittin it up for my bday anyway. After the f**ked up ass shyt that happend to us at Vanguard at the Ferry show, I dont think that we will be hittin up any club anymore. Too much potential to be assualted by power monger, ego driven, security guards. thhhh.
  6. Thanx friend, since my parents were in a band my whole life, I have quite an extensive knowledge when it comes to music.
  7. Well if you wanna bring up muscians that got screwed financially, look up poor Mr.Willie Nelson.
  8. I am soo on the same page with you guys (tigerwks, and weyes) Your never too old to party, I always get a hoot out of seeing the asian "aunties" gettin their groove on As long as you got the good vibes, PLEASE the more the merrier. I also agree with Ms.Weyes, in a decade or so we will be those older peeps on the dance floor.
  9. Then your gonna have to visit L.A. dude, I never have to think about where I am going out and that's how it goes EVERY weekend. There is at least 2 clubs that I can think of off the top of my head that just dedicate themselves to "House" music, check out Deep, and I think the other one is King King. And thats without being a "House" fan.. But I will agree with epope, and also recommend Jet...Their house room and staff are wonderful, I had the most excellent time there courtesy of epope and his staff/friends (aka Raul) last time I was in town
  10. Yes, because back then they did not have right and left handed guitars, so he played it upside down to compensate.
  11. Bella, I am surprised that you didnt get the runs, or a severe stomach ache, after 12 years of no red meat your body loses the enzyme that breaks it down. But I am sure it was worth it, I have one 4 blocks away from my house.
  12. It really sucks to be at the wrong place at the wrong time, now she got stuck being made the example of. People are always talking about how celeb's get away with so much crap, and an unfortunate few are paying that price to appease the masses. And I dont even like her myself, she's a moron for sure, and another shitty example of how young women, or women in general, should look, behave, or carry themselves.. Between the slutty "heiresses", and girls gone wild dumb asses, it's no wonder that a lot of girls think the only way to get a man is to serve it right up. Of course then they dont understand why when it doesnt last, or the guy is a creep (O.K. enough soapboxing) I also agree with Poccnr, there is a certain amount of responsibility, it is rare that anyone can perverbiably "have their cake and eat it too" I am in a profession that holds me to a higher standard of conduct , so if I have to follow the "extra" stringint rules, you'd better fkn follow the standard ones...shhheeet!!!
  13. What kind of music does she crank out? OOOOH Gwen, I love her, when I was at Ultra this year a lot of peeps asked me about my Harajuku wear... Apparently they dont sell it out there? And what? you say meltdown? I love celebrity drama, as long as it isnt Martin Lawrence, cracked out, dehydrated, gun toting, gonna die of sunstroke amungst a barrage of other things kinda meltdown. ( I know that is a mouth full isnt it? hee, hee, hee)
  14. I know huh? that was totally a wink wink, nudge, nudge statement wasnt it? hehehe
  15. I def would have to agree, some people just blank when they take tests, or are just poor test takers, and are very intelligent people. On the other hand I have met some pretty scary people at work, who are a great test takers, but would not trust them to take care of my kids health. For some it is hard to translate what is in the book/theory into real life practice, and for others...Well um...unfortunately you cannot teach common sense and logic, so you pray that those people do NOT make life altering decisions for other people as a career.
  16. Ahhh, cool1, I think that you misunderstood me. I mean smaller as in space.. I felt like there was less space this year, I agree that the lineup was great. I love the Hope/Wilshire spot. It always felt like a trance amusement park. And I am sure that it costs alot of money to close down streets and get permits and the such.. My statement was in no way a knock, just an observation. I have been going to "Giant" events for a very long long time, you dont have to defend/explain, to me. I will always show up to Giant events, no matter what issues have come up, they are they most consistent providers of quality entertainment by far.
  17. Let's face it, we all get a little chubby after we stop doing drugs every single weekend. I know I gained weight after I stopped dropping every other Sat, on top of the fact of leaving the higher metabolism dayz of my 20's, It turned out being 30lbs. but today, after incorporating more activity and making better food choices I am 22lbs down. So hopfully Sasha will get there as well. ooooow, just saw that pic of Sasha, boy that is a crappy angle.
  18. Holy F**k!!! Sasha tore that shyt up!!! I had such a great time with ShortyStar, her hubby and friends. I swear my T-shirt was drenched from all the dancing. I Loved it I would love to get my hands on that mix if it became available. That set was dirty, and funky, had the crowd yellin for more. The last time I danced that much I was at the Tall Paul show. The night started out with courtesy tickets via my awsome pal Bianca (VIP Host at Vangard) the perfect night for a favor reciprication. And while I was waiting on the carpet for my hubby, low and behold, here comes Sasha. Ahhhh!!! My second kiss on the cheek from my Sasha since the Delta Heavy tour. Then I saw Shorty on the patio, yay!! And I also had the distinct pleasure of meeting Nick Dean, a very nice, down to earth dude. I really had a great time.
  19. Sounds like they are scrambling this year... cause "village" events are suppose to be BIG but lets face it, this years NYE event sure was on a smaller scale than anticipated. Maybe the "mega blocks" are too costly and too much hassle for the return. But I do think it is strange that we are less than 2mo.'s away and there isnt a big line up and mad advertising going on. I would think to pull off something as big as last years summer village, it should be more put together by now... Kinda makes me nervous, if ya know what I mean, sounds a little too much like the year that NYE got cancelled, and I had a feeling about that year too ( I did not purchase one that year, and you know how I like to have things done/planned out early) oh well, we'll see...
  20. Hey Lola!! If your interested I got married in Vegas, we did ours at "Victoria's Weddings and Receptions. They have 2 outdoor settings and a chapel for the service, do DVD of the wedding, pictures, 5 diff reception areas, price included wedding planner, basic decorations, flowers, 4hr reception with d.j. open bar for soda, wine, beer. They were cool, considering that I was planning this from L.A. I went to Vegas only twice, once to sit and pic stuff out with the planner and the last for food/cake tasting. Good Luck. Hey also I got an email from Mandalay Bay, there having a wedding special "777" Good price for wedding 07/07/07. Take Care.
  21. I know this is late, but I just wanted to take a moment to thank VegasStatus for a wonderful and fun weekend in Vegas VIP style. This was the bunch of girls that went to Vegas for the bachlorette party. Started with party bus, where we drank and danced for an 1 1/2 hours, then we went to Jet, where we had table bottle service in the very excellent "House room", the music was great, the people and the vibe were awsome. A Special thanx to Dave, the head dude in charge...You rock!! To M.J. our own security guy for the night...Thanx for keepin us safe and feeling very VIP and to Whitney, the bottle service genie... You are so sweet, to bad we didnt get to meet Cameron and Drew that night hehehehe The night ended with an early breakfast at Grand Lux at 0430am, then limo to sleepy town. Thanx for all the Love.
  22. Good Grief Charlie Brown!!! That sounds soo horrible I was actually looking at the line up, it's Fantastic! Cause girl you know I love me some Sandra Collins! But Ferry is also playing that night, and when faced with the decision of all ages v. 21+, 21+ wins everytime. So I will be at Vangard that night rockin out... doo doo dudu do doru do
  23. I am soo excited, we are going to see Ladytron and Dave Seaman tonight at Avaland, courtesy of our friend Ben Yes, I know how we all feel about Avalon, but I will tolerate it for my faves... Anyone else going? I will be wearing a black Harajuku shirt, cause "This love is so serious" hehehe
  24. Yay!! Monster Massive is in October But I would have to agree that there is def more pressure to be thin in L.A., Miami, as well as Vegas. Probably because of the beach/party scene as well as the "Hollywood" image over here. But hey, I was at Mandalay bay 2 weeks ago at the Pool or "beach" as they call it, in my little XOXO green 2 piece, and was just fine.
