I heard Spirit's owner Robbie Wootton is a clueless spaced out dickhead who burned all his bridges with every promoter and deejay in this town. He is from Dublin and got no clue about NYC Clubland. Spirit in Dublin is "original" and does very well simply because Robbie Wootton is NOT there! Spirit NYC on the other hand is not "original" and will never work because it only lives off Twilo's fame and it's legendary location. Spirit NYC lost it's momentum 1 week after they opened and there is NOTHING and NOBODY that will make this place work.

DT's set was lame as usual. All over the place, no direction.

yeah, DT is the master of drama for sure...and he loves to play the victim! he once was one of the best deejays in the world.it's sad to see that he ended up like junior vasquez.

No worries, Crobar will be 80% straight that night. I talked to a lot of my gay friends and they only will go there for Alegria on Sunday. They all do Roxy and Peter @ Spirit on Saturday. Gay people want to go to a Gay party for Gay Pride and not to a straight club where "gays" are accepted. Do you really believe 4000 straight people will stay away from Crobar this Saturday because Victor is spinning? (this is not an afterhours, its a regular night) Half of the crowd doesn't even care who's the deejay, they just go to get hammered and pick upsome hot chicks.

Victor's Hammerstein party was an event! This one here is a RIP-OFF!!!!!!!!!! I can go & hear him next month at Crobar for $20. What's the attraction for this party here? Some funky light bulbs???

I would suggest Spirit with Peter Rauhofer (and opening deejay Offer Nissim from Israel who is phenomenal). Peter Rauhofer ALWAYS delivers! ...and it's the cheapest priced event of them all! $25 Advance, 40 at the door. Crobar is $70!!!...give me a break!
