it doesnt really work that way.... Pacha NYC has a very small affiliation with Pacha Ibiza, and with many of these chain clubs, the only thing in common is the name.... example: Avalon Boston has people that normally play Crobar NYC on THEIR lineup whereas Avalon NYC has a shit lineup of hip hop Fridays and nothing Saturdays.... example2: Made Events throws plenty of parties at Spirit NYC but they wouldnt be able to just magically call up Spirit in Ireland and have their DJs there.... see what im saying? it doesnt work that way.... Pacha Ibiza simply wouldnt have JP there, or half of the DJs that are big in NYC... im as big a JP critic as the next man, but you are also wrong.... theres such a wide variety of parties on Ibiza, im sure JP could find one to spin at.... if your opinions on what Ibiza is were directed only to Pacha Ibiza, then id say youre right... but go elsewhere, and you will find hard tech parties, hell, even hardcore parties if you look enough, or whatever it is you wannt hear... and yes they do have G, E, and K there, and African and European shit that hasnt even reached the States yet, so dont go that "anti-drug" route either, theyve got their shit in Ibiza too.... but like i said, if your outlook on Ibiza as a whole was originaly meant only toward Pacha Ibiza, then id say okay, youre right

not sure what u meant, but whenever they play an event live with synthesizers and guitar, its known as a LIVE PA (with any other EDM live band too, its the same)... so people like NU NRG or RANK1 or PUSH have a little (live pa) next to their names on flyers, which leads me to believe this guy just looked at random flyers and picked random names he thought sounded funny

they have one good party (im not even gunna hate on the fact that every1 that went had a good review of it) and its the "party of the century".... its just that they forgot what a good party is after so many yeaers without one, that once a good party comes along, its like sex after coming out of prison

great night overall, the crowd was pretty decent... Mauro started with some electro-techno stuff, then got into some minimal tech here and there (not too minimal tho, which i dont like) with a hint of housey/tribal tech as well, and yeah, right around 345-4AM he was just RELENTLESS with the hard tech, i was like wut the helllllllllllllllllllllll.... its a shame he didnt play more of it from the start like he usually did at Avalon but w.e., his set was interesting nonetheless.... some of my dumb shit oblivious friends were like at 4AM "so whens Mauro comin on? i dont like Danny".... hahaha retards.... im a straight up tech-head though so when it comes to a DJ like Mauro coming, im thereeeee and i dont even pay attention to ne DJs but him that night, so i left around DT's set, started good but i danced so hard to Mauro i hadda leave haha... i need a few tracks ID'd from Mauro's set.... 1. it was this ultra hard tribal tech song with diverse tribal drums and bongos being played, he played it early on like 1:30ish right in the middle of all this minim-electro-techno he was playin so it caught everyone off guard, sounded like some hard tribal tech any New York house DJ would play after 6AM, just sick dark stuff 2. hard tech vs electro track around the 4 o'clock mark, maybe a little before with one scremaing vocal, "unbelieveable!!!!!" and the beat came in 3. all the songs around number 2, that whole line of tech songs until he brought the volume down after 4 and started with a new fresh slower track...

half of you hating probably havent been there in at least half a year... the same post came up on another board and the person started it was bashing Avalon and everything about it... turns out his last party there was Sasha New Year's Eve 2003 or 2004 (i forget which year)... ill be the first to admit that Fridays are wack, the crowd is terrible (packed most of the time but terrible)... but have any of you been to a Saturday there recently? just cos its not the same house house house house house house house week in and week out that Crobar and Pacha have, doesnt mean its not a quality party... it's been growing a pretty good reputation in the techno scene (techno, meaning "i love Marco Bailey" techno, not "I LuV TeChNoOoOoO Nd GuIdOsSsSsS" techno)... check it out sometime, you might hear something different... sure, id love to see some of the more known trance and house acts they used to pull in the past 3 years, but hey, theres always room for change and Avalon's lineup's been pretty refreshing as far as interesting music comes... the Avalon from early last year is a lot different than the Avalon of this year minus the Fridays... thats all i'm going to say
