i agree...aenima is def their best album. but lateralus was great, and so is 10,000 days (i have it!). it is apparent how tool as a band has evolved. aenima was a really "angry" album, but they have grown from that...they're not so pissed off (at jesus, mostly!). thank goodness their edge is still there...that hasn't changed, for sure. if you've ever noticed, the majority of their concert tours are in europe. that is intentional...they don't agree with america's drug policy... :-X

touche! i am a happy owner of an ipod. that means i have the right to bitch. for example...budweiser comes up with new ad campaigns all the time, their marketing team is top of the line, in my book. heineken as well...fresh new ideas all the time. it just really caught my eye a few nights ago during the nba finals when i saw another goddamn ipod commercial that has a black silhouette wearing ipod headphones (which, everybody knows, suck ass). fire the whole lot, start from scratch. ;D

i listened...definitely an interesting concept....wouldn't surprise me....but i don't think it's so weird, i think it's not too difficult to do something like that, especially for a band like tool, whom makes "unique" (read: strange) music. the way that tool makes albums, it leaves a lot of room to do weird things such as this. but kudos to them, it adds a different level to their artistic ability. i fooking love tool ;D btw 10,000 days is an AMAZING album
