I agree with silverbull. Shelter party has been going on for a long time in NYC. Iam not 100% sure but I think Timmy Regisford has the longest club residence in NYC . The guy is a machine mixes beats like u wouldnt believe, i think u definatly should check out this party. Gypseytea is good, but not for every party, depends on who is spining.

Iam not that big of a JP fan either, I was back in the late 90's when he use to rock out Factory every weekend. Now days he just doesn't seem that special to me any more, theres alot of other djs out there that i would go to hear before him. LOL. But i gotta give props to the guy he has been bringing in sick numbers to PACHA and gives that spot bussiness, so hes doing something right.

Typical dark afterhours spot. The main party takes place downstairs in the basement, the system is fairly good nothing special. Then they got the upstairs lounge area where the music isn't as loud and u can sit down to relax. Its small in my opinion, I miss the days when rob used to throw his parties at DiSCOTHEQUE. i think that was a much better venue then Gypsy Tea where the party got moved to, but check it out for ur-self and see.

u can always hit up shelter, the music and system is good. But its not exactly bottle service lounge type of scene if u know what i mean.

definatly, I wanna check out this whole new club make over to see what they did and if they improved the sound system there. Plus, Calderone's afterhours are always a blast, he holds it down. I only hope that in the future he plays a set with Danny Tenaglia, like he plays with chus & ceballos, santana, vibe, etc.
