Can I ask you something. Do you actually know what the War that we are possibly getting into about. I mean do you seriously know.

I am not saying that I am for or against the war. But one of the reasons I am against the war is because it is for the wrong reasons. And Americans are being mislead as to what it is all about. But some people are just to blind to see it. Do you know why some countries do not want anything to do with it. Or again are you blind to that as well? Yes there are parts of this war that is about Nuclear weapons, Terrorism, Etc... Etc... But do you actually think that is what it is all about?

Please clue me into what is on your mind. And your insight as to what it is really about. I want to know. Maybe you will surprise me and actually know.

Yes i am willing to go into battle for this, i am not a reservist currently but would not mind either becoming one or having myself drafted into battle.

Wow you have shocked me. You know a little something.

But being you can't talk like a human. I will leave this thread for you kiddies to fight over. Cause quite frankly arguing with someone as Arrogant as you and who ever that other kid is. Is just getting on my nerves. Instead of laying down a somewhat human discussion about a matter that could change alot of shit in the world. You guys feel as though you have to curse everything and every one who has views that spread in many directions. It is called topic of discussion. Sit back. Relax and just express you opinions. No need to bash some people. And talk shit about others... Again. everyone has an opinion. And everyones opinion is respected.

Economy wise it would be a great choice. But in my eyes. If that is all we are going in for. It would not be worth it. We are going to wind up making more enemy's then allies.

Now if we can kill all birds with that same stone. Which in reality I am sure that is not going to happen. But it would be great. And I would be a happy person.

If we go to war. We are not going to defeat terrorism. Cause each and every day terror is born. We are not going to stop them from making nuclear weapons. Cause down the road it is going to happen again. Which leaves us again down to the oil.

Maybe I am foolish. And again I am not 100% for and I am not 100% against. I just have alot of views towards the whole thing both possitive and negative. And as for the economy right now. Lord only knows what this hit will do to it. It is weak as it is.

Historically speaking, war has always been good for the economy, it puts the country into production mode. If another strike happened at home during the war however, all bets are off completely. I think Saddam himself would not use a nuclear bomb unless he were trapped in a corner, but I do fear him being overthrown in a coup and then where would those weapons go? Who knows? Thats the real danger here...I strongly feel that if we declare war on Iraq that Saddam may hit Israel with an attack (similiar to the Gulf War in which Saddam sent Scud missiles into Israel) and I feel if its a chemical or otherwise mass destruction attack, I think Israel would not hesitate to nuke Iraq, and the thereby setting off a fallout in the whole region, leading to possibly others attempting to gain power in several countries and gaining access to these weapons. Thats why its important to win this decisively and swiftly, and to knock out his communication wholey. I really think we should basically sneak attack and not even declare war. I have no problem with that...since 9/11 all bets are off.

I wont be near by computer for a few days so forgive my slow responses.

man that speech and everyone clapping every 2.5 seconds was like a kindergarden teacher saying its milk and cookies time

yeaaaaaaaaaaaa............

anyway they brag about homeland security and all this stuff but the airport security is still a joke at jfk. they have job openings for security guards at jfk which pays 5.15 which explains it. European airport security is tight --they check everything.

The dollar is really low compared to other currencies(euro) which is an indicator of the bad market which wont get better anytime soon.

So all this talk of war is gonna drag the economy down further and its leading to more layoffs. Once the war is over they will realize how bad the market is and they wont be able to blame the middle east anymore so to summarize my point----

war or no war

the economy is fucked

entry level jobs that payed 40-50 grand 3-4 years ago

are 20-30 right now. Also every corporation became so greedy and stingy that they basically want you to be perfect for cheap.

This will lead to college grads entering the market to work 5-10 more yearrs than expected in the long run. Hell with retirement its not gonna exist. (Got a lil sarcastic.)

when bush said we got the coporate criminals -----LMAO----those guys laid so many people during the holidays so they can get a larger chunk of the bonuses.

yea this is true Europeans are trading their currencies into dollars.

ex. the dollar was around 9.25 of a certain currency(2yrs ago)

this summer it was 7.3 and now its 6.85------

So alot of them are converting their currencies to dollars and once the us is done in the middle east the dollar will go up again.

but then again it can take a while with the euro going up......

i just watched this state of the union address...and bush did not offer reasons or solutions to many of the problems he brought up. oh yes, americans should not have to pay high taxes, and they should be able to carry a paycheck home to care for their families...

what made me laugh was the fact that he said he wanted $1.2 billion invested in the production and eventual marketing of hydrogen based automobiles...and i guess these cars will be selling at a price that the average could not afford...with this in mind, (yes, i'm probably going to get shit for this...) why the fuck are we still going to war with iraq? besides the fact that this country has more nuclear weapons than any other in the world, what gives the US the right to act like a global cop and demand that they disarm? under international law, they have a right to protect themselves from harm just as this country and others do. we the american public as well as the rest of the world are nothing but pawns in a global political/economic game, with the main players being bush, his cronies, and other fucked up politicians around the world.

for a president to make such a weak speech is embarassing for this country. people around the world are laughing at him and feel sorry for us. is this really the type of leader we are supposed to be proud of? besides contributing to the bad economic situation with bad policymaking from his part, we have to pay for a war which will only result in death, pain, misery, and bloodshed, all in the name of american justice...BULLSHIT. everything comes down to two things: politics and economics. the two are intertwined and cannot be separated. he wants oil, and perhaps personal revenge. (supposedly saddam tried to assassinate president bush sr. back in the early 90's....)

this issue can be discussed, argued against, screamed about, whatever...the truth of the matter in the end, and not just with this issue, is that politicians will never say what is really going on to the general public. besides giving the famous excuse that it is a matter of national security (this is understandable, but there are still things that can be understood by the public), we are not getting the real deal no matter what. it makes me sick that such people are in office, but i guess power and money corrupts most people.

i just hope that not too many children and mothers in iraq have to suffer too much as a result of this madman's vendetta against the middle east.

uh, no offense dude, but when was the last time you checked the value of the euro? it is stronger than the US dollar now. there is little doubt that the european union will become a rival to the US in terms of economics. when they add (or don't) 15 potential members to the Union in the next 5 years or so, they will surpass us in every way: politically, economically, and socially.

face it, the US is going down the drain.

Bush has never been my fav, but listening to that list of weapons and how Iraq hasn't provided any evidence of their destruction was an eye-opener. The only use of those weapons of mass destruction is to kill millions at a time, and with their close ties to terrorists, we should be taking action now. Other countries want us to wait, but like he said, the terrorists aren't going to give us any warning before they attack, so those weapons should be destroyed as soon as possible.

I also liked that he brought up the hydrogen-fueled engines, not just for the cleaner air, but also so we don't have to rely on these foreign energy sources. Here's an article I found: http://www.jsonline.com/wheels/peak/0318auto.asp

I wasn't too impressed with the first half of the speech or his improvements for the economy, though. I'll believe when I see it.

First off people, capslock%2Egif

next, sfkid22 hit it on the head.

"those assholes on 9/11 didn't care about race or color. Grow up."

Bing!

neither "Fair Trial" nor "Mercy" enters my vocabulary.

Mercy and judgement of terrorists are reserved for God and God alone, and i feel it is our responsibility to arrange that meeting,

how would you define terrorism? since it seems to be everyone's favorite word to use now....

is terrorism only limited to violent actions, or is it something more....

in many ways, the US is a terrorist. so is china, so is russia, so is india, saudi arabia, and so on....

who are the real terrorists.............
