No offense, but I'd rather listen to a live Milli Vanilli concert, lip syncing, rather than to 50 Cents. Have all the good rhymes been taken or something?

People dog on Vanilla Ice and MC Hammer all the time, but their records were actually far better party records than the "music" of 50 Cents or Khia. It's all about the media hype.

It's no wonder why they keep releasing so many "new" 2 Pac releases. The Fugees or Dr. Dre need to come out with a new album, like yesterday, but they may be too good now for the young kids and drunken college aged females who want third rate unpolished productions and fifth grade vocabulary lyrics.

When are the older Hip Hop fans going to start a backlash of their own, and start supporting the more intelligent Hip Hop? Or the better sounding poppish/mainstream Hip Hop records?

I guess after the teen pop craze some of the kids just gulp up anything that smells of simple/catchy Hip Hop, or wannabe, fabricated anti-Pop female Rock singers (see Avril Lavigne's "Complicated" and "Sk8er Boy").

The rest of the lists look great. Just people listing their favorite tunes of the moment, without much hype, and no silly basic English lyrics.

Sorry for the vent, couldn't hold myself back.

50's album is one of the better hip hop albums to come out in a while....I waited a week to get it and I was definitely skeptical bein that everyone was on his dick...but the album is legit.

And i have over 400 hip hop albums so i know the dilly---

Its still no Roots-Things Fall Apart but its defintely dope.

.

Hon,

Dr. Dre and Eminem where the ones that helped 50 cent with making his cd. actually Dr. Dre basically makes the beats for him and tells him to do the lyrics.

Angelicious, if you like the song that's cool, but I personally am not impressed. Who knows, maybe the rest of his album is better like mikebugout said, but "In Da Club" is getting way too much exposure IMO.

I'm also well aware of the Dr. Dre and Eminem connection. Just like Em, Dre, and Snoop (Dre's first protege), 50 Cents style is different, but I just don't think its up to par with Dre's own records.
