stryke303
Hi all,I am sorry to announce that I will not be taking the Friday night residency at Nerve. For right now, I have to keep my mouth quiet for a bit. If not, I may say some things I don't mean. When it comes down to it, I have to stand beside the music I hold dear to my heart. This is a case where I have to choose passion over plitics and giving in. I do wish Nerve the best of luck. The venue is looking amazing, and I know the sound is going to be top notch. I truly wish them success. I will fill everyone in soon on what happened. I hold no grudges, nor do I wish to start a bashing war. Anyway, thanks again to all of you who continue to support me in South Florida. It makes me proud to say I'm from Miami! I will continue to work towards playing at home weekly. I think it's time...paz,Stryke

I think it's time...paz,Stryke What's wrong with Miami, Miami? Clubs are a business like any other. Some filthier. Some darker. And in the end, it's always about making money. It's just amazing to me how someone as talented as you are does not hold a residency in a city that:1. Claims to be a haven for aspiring DJs 2. Has some of the best clubs I've seen in this country3. Has a history of clubbing and reinvents itself every year w/ conference4. Has local clubbers (and tourists), that, inspite of such economical distress, still go out EVERY WEEKEND...Because of these 4 points (and many, many others), you SHOULD be proud to say you're from Miami.. But WOW. This just indicates how close-minded the nightlife scene is this city is, in reality. Keep up the good work, Greg. Your humility, talent and perseverance are an inspiration to many of us. We will keep on supporting you all the way. :goofy:

Unfortunately in business sometimes people have to make decisions that are not pleasant or fair. And this is one decision that the club had to make with much pain & regret.Stryke is a very talented individual both live and in the studio. He is one of the nicest, most humble, people we have every met in the biz. any club that works with Greg should consider themselves very fortunate to have him and his name associated with their venue. We at NERVE would hopefully like to keep the lines of communication open with stryke and his people and perhaps we can work something out that is acceptable to all parties concerned in the near future..........We wish stryke all the best of luck in the world with his international tour dates and in the studio. As far as any Bashing, or engaging in the South beach "TELEPHONE GAME " OF HE SAID, SHE SAID, you will never hear any from the club. So basically you post up on the board that your proud to announce Stryke as your new NERVE resident. Then a few days later turn around and then he has no residency? what's the dealie yo? why didnt you post it yourself since you brought the info out into the open originally? Can I have a McShady sandwhich with that order? ... I don't know what happened and I could only go by speculation at this point, but it sounds to me like your telling someone to change their style of music to fit a certain promotion group or even the club itself. If this is the case, that's wrong... very wrong. The reason why you select a resident of this caliber to begin with is becuase you respect his style of music along with everything else he has to offer. If you wanna tell a DJ what to do or what type of music to play, go get a jukebox ... Or better yet .. do some homework

mrmatas2277
i am taken back with this news...i am a little late to the thread but...WOW....i thought Nerve had a very good idea of booking Stryke and trying to start a good party, like the one they are trying to do at Rain....def. Nerve's loss....Greg dont worry...everything happens for a reason in this life...and although it doesnt make sense, right now...it will in due time...u have still have my support in whatever venue u go to....
