Nice to have Abe and James in the house this Friday. ;)

A baby could have been conceived and born since the last time Anthony Pappa made a non-conference appearance in Miami. He is one of the most seeked DJs, playing somewhat close to 200 gigs a year. And then you have his production time.

So I would imagine he will be on fire Abe, just like last time. He definitely likes to play at Bliss' events, since the days of 323 23rd. And that completes the ticket for this event.

About Nerve:

Nerve, the former and much loved Lola Bar— is a chameleon-like, anti-minimalist and provocatively intimate venue with a big room sound.

Its flawless Phazon Sound System, with a heart stopping sub-base with no aural irritation, complements the visual and eclectic energy, presenting a fresh alternative to the South Beach club scene since its opening in mid-March 2003.

During WMC 2003, Nerve hosted John Digweed’s Bedrock party, Darren Emerson and Tim Deluxe, Satoshi Tomiie, Sander Kleinenberg, Little 'Louie' Vega and Steve Lawler among others, delighting the crowds for 6 straight nights.

It is the clubbers dreamed small club in ambient, sound and lighting. A clubbing dream.

Glad to see more peeps involved with this event. You will enjoy this Friday Arturo, like the good old days at 323.

I could be biassed with the event as being one of the organizers, but I can assure you guys that on Friday you will have:

a HUGE DJ in a small club with HUGE SOUND. The equation closes for me.

Welcome to a new monthly clubbing experience. ;)

i am very excited about this evening. mr. marco seems like u know me well. i think u r from the old-skool hooray......come and say hello on friday please. thank u for this great event.

i am bringing my lady friend with me and she is starting to really fall in love with this sound. house muzik or is it elctronic music. now a days the music is so beautiful and diverse that there is basically no one particular genre to categorize pappa's sets in. he is simply sick and twisted. not to mention his mixing is so tight and his experience and dj skills have made him a legend in our scene 4 quite some time. "the 1st nubreed is coming"

well guys, tomorrow is the big day. Here at Bliss we are proud to have joined forces with marco and PM sessions for this event. Its a combination of Old skool and New skool and all I can promise is that this event will go off. Too me, anthony is one of the worlds best dj's - his mixing is flawless and his track selection is second too none - At Nerve mr. pappa will be able too create the intimate vibe with big room sound. Once again, bliss is glad too be back and really excited to kick it off with a bliss family favorite - Mr. Anthony Pappa - see you all tomorrow - don't forget, come early as its open bar from 10-12 - :D:eek:;):)

thanks again

Jon

Thank you Jon. Carla and I are greateful to have found someone that shares our sames vision for the scene in South Beach.

We do this for the love for music. For the respect to an industry which is losing ground at the beach. For giving back to the clubbers events of quality. For keeping our goals and ethics in place even under extreme circumstances. For believing in what we so passionately do. For providing an alternative to all of you.

We take the hard work. The risks. And the hits. But we don't give up in our effort to bring you guys, the clubbers, what we believe in.

We have strong feelings for what we are starting this Friday. And in the end, we believe we will contribute to the clubbing alternative at the beach.

We would also want to add and emphasize, our deepest respects to so many other people involved in doing the same in Miami. We respect you and admire you. We want to add to what you are doing and not interfere with your projects. We are all part of a scene we love and know that with lots of effort will be alive. For a long time.

Peace my friends. Have fun tomorrow.

Thank you for your support to this event. I have received several PMs asking if there will be a guestlist for tomorrow nite.

As a gesture and appreciation to your continued support to Bliss and P:M Sessions we will have:

Open Bar 10 -12

Reduced guestlist of $10 until 2:00 am

Just respond to this thread by 8 pm tomorrow. I'll be checking from time to time during the day tomorrow. Being a small venue as it is, please supply us with your name and last name. GUESTLIST WILL INCLUDE YOU + 1. (Those who have PMed me don't need to reply, I've got you guys covered already)

Please understand that space is limited, and that there has been a strong reaction to this event.

We strongly suggest you to show up early, take advantage of the open bar and enjoy Jon Cowan's opening set. Soon after, Anthony Pappa should be about to start his extended set.

And last but not least, get your sneakers ready. You are going to dance your @$$ off. :)

See you guys tomorrow,

MD

Just FYI, this is a review of last nigh't party at Centro-Fly, where Anthony Pappa played along the Low End Specialists:

... Then, Pappa got on around 2am and absolutely destroyed Centro-Fly. Or, shall I say the Pinky Room? The party was downstairs last night which created a nice tight vibe. I guess my pep talk to Pappa on the boat (Lawler boat party the day prior) worked because he was absolutely insane. He played a little bit of funk and some vocals in the beginning but every track the entire night had force behind. The beat never let up once. There were numerous highlights for the night, including two peak time monsters that had more than a few shaking their heads - crazy noises and insane highhats: perfect Pappa music. It was those two tracks that made me realize Pappa is totally back on form. After the two peaks, he took it down but the beats were still there and then he went on a tear playing all kinds of crazy stuff. Even his encores were full on. He's the only progressive DJ I know that will end the night with dark and really mean music (his first encore was "Big Room Drama"). The final encore was a new remix of Underworld's "Born Slippy" - great mix. Final track before encores was the Cosmos mix of Colplay's "Clocks" that got the place going mad. I couldn't believe how hard people were dancing at 4:45am. There must've been maybe 50 people in that room all smiling and singing to "Clocks". Then, Pappa goes right back to being dark and mean with his encores.
