BobG Posted August 2 Report Share Posted August 2 accordinging to the owners of the roxy..this will be an interesting event..if the turnout is good, which when you look at the boards the responce is amazing..then they would bring this party back either every week or once a month..now that the factory is going with more hip hop on the main floor and exit is all hardcore hip hop..perhaps this is the perfect time to bring this party back to ny...visious has many guests coming down to say hello and maybe get on the turntable...who knows...will keep you posted .. Would be much better if it was once a month so that it would be an event and people would get up for it. there's only a couple (well three) dj's that have been able to hold down weekly events for longer than a few months here in recent years and i don't think we need another one honestly. variety is good for your ears.personally, my only problem with the old incarnation was the amount of ridiculously wrecked (drunk) youngsters wandering around. the in your face frat boy thing is just not something i'm interested in, but that seems to be the KTU crowd so...but if Nero is gonna be there and JV will be playing OLD tracks i'm likely to show up also, roxy is a great venue for those international dj's that some of the ignorant are dissing in this thread. wether its european trance or bringing back farina, bond, whomever, mixing up the friday nights between NYC dj's and outta towners makes sense, brings in a mixed crowd, and keeps things from getting stagnant.
