dgmodel Posted November 24 Report Share Posted November 24 household bank is the company that finances a lot of cc's, primarily bestbuy... be wary of them... heres the thing... i had a best buy cc, which i openend last halloween... i purchased a camera and they told me if you open an accnt you get 15%off and you can have a 0% apr for a year... fantastic i did it... and again in my haste i made a huge mistake.. i didnt read the fine print... so long story short i closed my account several months ago... and i mean several... and the other day i get a letter from household bank saying ive been reported to a credit agency... (my first report ever on a blemish free record since 1996~!) so as you can imagine i was furious... the letter said that i had a balance of $100.51 left on the card and it hasnt been paid in some time... so now im getting angrier because i paid the camera off in full just a few months after i got it and closed the accnt a few months later so how is this possible??? so long story short after a few hours on the phone with these crooks they credited my accnt and sent me paperwork stating that i wasnt delinquent etc... blah... but heres the thing the charges where deffered finance charges and intrest that i did not pay for when i had a balance on the accnt... so in the long run it was not 0% but just 0% for the time being and then after a year or after you pay it off which ever comes first you then pay the APR and Finance Charges... What a CROCK OF SHIT~! so long story short bitch and complain and you wont have to pay this... the reason why im posting htis is because a lot of companies had this 0% crap i could only imagine that its the same type of scam... so heads up... glowgrlnyc Posted November 24 Report Share Posted November 24 I had a problem with Best Buy as well...I bought/ordered a refrigerator....I went home and measured the area, and realized it wasnt going to fit....so the NEXT day, I went back to best buy and cancelled the order and told the guy to remove the charge from my BEST BUY card...WELLLLLLL.....the charge was NEVER removed....I had to go thru an entire ordeal, and write a letter to the credit card company and explain to them that I DO NOT have this fridge....AND THE WORST is that BEST BUY never had it in their records that I canceled the order...SHADYYYY!!!!I havent bought anything from there since that incident.... One day she got a bad asthma attack while she was at work, so she had to go to the hospital. The next day her manager bitched her out for not having enough sense to carry her inhaler around and letting her illness interfere with work. My acquaintance could have had a nice case against the dick manager, but she opted for instant gratification. She threw a bunch of cds on the floor and stepped on them. ghhhhhost Posted November 25 Report Share Posted November 25 god i wish i was around when that stock was sky high...the dude employed family and only family..i think his mom was the secretary..and his pops was COO or some shit. when he finally went public...his lawyers advised him to hire a large CPA firm to work on the IPO for him. wow..wow..wow did he fuck them. the moron auditors (Peat Marwick now KPMG) told him what stores they were gona audit...so Antar (crazy eddie) goes ahead and sends just enough inventory to each of these locations ensuring the auditors get the proper count, resulting in a 65$ mill overstatement of inventory (holla!!)....he even included consigned merchandise in the inventory counthis whole inventory system was manual (aka easier to manipulate) and when his auditors installed a brand new computerized system..he forced his staff (aka family) to junk the system and go back to the old way. finally the dude was caught..then he fled to Israel under an assumed alias of 10 hebrew names..ridiculous. and to top it off...in the last couple of yrs....family of Antar bought the rights to the Crazy Eddie name and sell electronics online..and guess who's a consultant??
