mala Posted December 31 Report Share Posted December 31 Bah. I'm not into New Year's. It's an arbitrary date, and therefore, completely meaningless. People feel pressured to go out and force themselves to have a good time. There's always high expectations that usually go unmet. People convince themselves that the new year is their year, make a bunch of resolutions, and then have nothing to show for it and the end of the year. Then there's the whole amateur drinker's night aspect of it. Folks go out and get sloshed because they don't have anyone to kiss at midnight, making the roads a hazard for the rest of us.
