They are raised by the thousands in farms just to be coats.Just like cows, chickens, pigs and turkeys are born & raised to be food, some Chincillas are raised for coats.I dont see the difference between a leather coat and a fur coat, both come from animals, as long as its not made from an endangered animal it dosent matter to me.
