coming to Arc on 20th March from UK

Recommended Posts

Hi

I need some help if you would be as kind.

I am coming from the UK to go to Arc on the 20th March.

I've been looking on the web, but your city just confuses the hell out of me, god help me when i'm there.

What i need to know is, what is the nearest Airport(s) to the club and can anyone recommend any reasonably priced Hotels/Hostels in the close to the area of where Arc is.

Is Arc well out of the way of New York City? As we intend to do the usual tourist thing as well. :)

Cheers

Ade

Arc is near Tribeca if you are familiar with the city. You can fly into JFK or Laguardia. You can find hotels on line in the are you want.

It's an internation flight Im sure, so they would be flying into Kennedy Airport.

Arc is in lower Manhattan so it's in the area of many touristy spots

I'd recommend NJ as well - cheaper hotels and good transportation to NYC.

Arc is just off holland tunnel but if you don't have a car you could take a PATH train from NJ and then a quick TAXI ride.

How long will you be in the US?

Yeah i don't know about cheap hotels anywhere near the club - if i were you i'd go to hotels.com and just see what you can find and be sure to read the reviews. Anything really cheap in Manhattan is likely to be a really shoddy place.

Newark will definitely be the closest and if you're just coming for the club i'd recommend a hotel in NJ, maybe even near the airport - cause it will be a lot cheaper...

Thanks for everyone's help guys.

Managed to find a good deal on a flight and a nice hotel in Manhattan not far off Central Park.

PCR> Will be arriving on the 19th in the afternoon and leaving just after 7pm on the 22nd, so will be there for just 3 nights, would be longer but not everyone in the camp wants to take up too much of thier holiday time off work in the winter. :)

We're only really going as it will be the last chance to catch JOOF @ Arc before it closes. Hence it's a rush job.

Any hotel that's near Central Park will be fine, best bet would be to find where the 1, 2 or 9 trains are in comparision to your hotel because you can take any of those to Canal St. (which is 3 blocks from Arc) but to be honest if you've never been to the city I would totally take a cab, w/ a few people probably cheaper and easier :)

Not to change subject but On the 19th at Arc, Danny Tenaglia and Victor Calderone. The flyer says it is going to go into the after noon. If your interested let me know I will hook you up with a list.

And NO IT isnt mine. I have a connect for fridays, $17 . Hey it is $3 off but that is almost enough for a water.

Did you get your hotel yet? I can hook you up wit hsome close to Arc.

Here are a few

www.chelsealodge.com

(someone elses review of the place)

I've been going to the Chelsea Lodge since they opened the ground floor in 1999. Now they have the whole building and it's a GREAT place. Not expensive, and exactly what you need when you go clubbing in NY. A good bed to sleep a few hours, and a shower. It's the friendliest place I've ever been in the world and the location is just perfect. EVERYTHING is walking distance. The record shops, the clubs, the tourist areas, the Village, the shopping areas... and everything is around: good places to eat, etc... And last but not least: it's Chelsea

Holiday Inn on Lafayette street (5 minutes from Arc)

www.tribecagrand.com

super cheap 5 star accomodations (kidding) but a very nice place to pass out.

I stayed downtown at the Embassy Suties, right down West St. I walked to arc from there. Really nice hotel, not a clue how much tho. Bc i stayed to work at a benifit for fire fighters from 9/11 so we all stayed for free. Look into that, bc there is a bunch right down there like 3 blocks away from Arc.

It's all booked now, so can't really change, but everyone is happy with the location and prepared to cab it to Arc, I imagine that will be the only time we'll end up around that area anyway as will spend the rest of the time killing my credit card in Manhatten.

I expect we'll be too tired on the Friday to see Tenaglia after a 7 hour flight. But thanks for the offer. :)

I'll try and keep an eye on here in the run up to the event, see whose going and maybe hook up and say hello and have a ermm, water, lol.

you'll be able to catch me on the John 00 Fleming Message Board anyway. :)
