Question for all .... I need some more recomendations for some more downtempo, chill out tunes in the same areas as massive attack or portishead... not too sure what one would label this genre, but i know i love it and want more... Those ibiza chill out tunes are ok, but there is alot of weak stuff with virtually NO beat, and thats not acceptable!!! :yuck:

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

not everyone here is a trance crackmonkey pod.

seriously....lol....

and there's nothing like Portishead really....You should checkout the Portishead DVD live with full orchestra.

You should check out some Orb too although the Orb can get crazy.

You really think anyone here could answer? Everyone here is a trance crackmonkey. :gang:

:yuck: I guess you are speaking for yourself... :hat:

but seriously, there are TONS of cool Lounge CDs that have trip-hop, downtempo & chilled House....

Try one of my more recent favorites prod_107_pic.jpg

& they have other vols as well

Plus you can't forget the classic stuff put out by K7 Records, Mo' Wax, Ninjatune, early OM releases, some Waveform stuff & anything you can find released by Quango...

If you are looking for artist try Morcheeba, Groove Armada, Kruder & Dorfmeister, and masters DJ Ease (Nightmares On Wax), DJ Krush, Shadow..

etc...

I have a recent gem that's hard to find but extremely good driving music

JazzElicious Presents on Kriztal.com (not sure if it was just a promo or not but its :smoke:)

I encourage musical diversity  so I Hope this helps.....

that dvd sounds awesome!!! :bounce:

the orb :aright:

the only 'trip-hop' artists that come to my mind are fairly commercial ones like everything but the girl and sneaker pimps (might be girly picks, too, i dunno). sowwy! it's a good question tho, i like that kind of stuff, excellent "mood" music. ;)
