djkevinj
i dont post topic's like this cuase i dont care what other people think but if u dont like his song selection is one thing. Other than that what are u people talking about. Last nite at spirit he was fucking and i mean fuckign shit up. Mixing last nite was perfect, the build ups great, and then the nasty loops and i mean nasty looping tracks and fucking up the bass, then back to the loop then when u think the song coming back he fucks up the bass again. He played so hard omg. And then u got the crowd screaming for one more songs clapping and chanting his name. JP = one of the best dj's in the WORLD, and i've heard them all

nyckitty69
i haven't heard all of the dj's in the world and although I like him, he's still not even remotely excellent. i think he's so played out as well. i don't understand the big obsession with him, there waaaaaaay better dj's IMO. It's only nyc ppl that love him, worldwide, I wonder if anyone cares or knows who he is.Is that possible?????
Ronin
 I had my fun back in the day at factory and all but he is no where near the best. Looping a song and dropping efx does not = a good dj.
maxelicous
Opinions are like a**holes , everyones got one. My opinion ~ JP is what I call "mediocre talent"Everyone jocks him 'cuz its the cool thing to do.I've heard him and I was not impressed but HEY maybe he was having a bad night all 20 times. To each is own. That looping for 20 mins. Is miserable and his blends are bad , a 10 year old could make a track sound like that(off beat)LOL.That's my opinion so no one please get carried away and post back dissing me 'cuz we're all mature adults here and we all share the same interest-MUSIC

alexx
I never understnad why people hate on him so much. He has been playing every single Saturday in NYC for the past 10 years, packing out clubs. He is very loyal to all his fans, I dont think he has spun on Sat every anywhere else besdies NYC, and its not because he can't, he chooses not to. Someone mentioned that he doesnt spin anywhere besides NYC. Well if you were a dj and were to only spin in 1 place, would'nt it be here??? A few people are saying he loops songs and uses efx 2 much. This is what makes him so great, its not very hard to just beat match 2 songs together, which these days is what alot of djs seem to be doing. DT has constantly supported JP saying how good of a dj he is, and how people dont show him enough respect. While I will admit hes def not the #1 dj out there, he is up there, and imo hes def the most creative with his music, I dont think anyone could argue with that. oldtimer
aren't opinions great. fuck, everyone should get one.bro... she's from staten isand... wow this whole jp drama just keeps on resurfacing... i think a lot of people hate on jp because he caters to the "guido" crowd or the guido crowd follows him around from club to club... if you can get over his cowd then you can see, as a dj, he brings more to the table than most other dj's... it's not THAT hard to mix 2 records together... but doing remixes on the fly is not an easy thing to do... im not really a big fan of jp because i think his track selection is a little weak, but as a dj... he's different and i respect him for that... Personally I was never crazy about the regular crowd for dt@arc, but im not gona go out and say he sucks as dj, that is just the most retarded thing ever. This is exactly what I was saying he rarely just plays a track, almost every track he plays he fucks with, wether it be looping, efx, eqs, mixing over another track puttin and acapella over it ect.. shaegodiva
cmon now keep the stereotyping to a minimum lol. i mean i wont argue jp has a def. recognizable LOOK to his crowd...but let me REMIND u ppl, spirit is NOT sf....and the crowd is DEF NOT the same. many of the same ppl, but im sorry, are YOU all wearing the same hairstyles/ clothes u were wearing 4-5 yrs ago?? not exactly. so YEA the same types follow jp, but having been there...n NOT being a fanatical jp worshipper like some , i can honestly say...the place is NOT OVERRUN w/ shirtless guidos. but ppl refuse to believe...as i notice...interestingly, the ppl who haven't gone. i couldnt care less who goes/ doesnt go, i enjoy it when i go, jp is good i don't have to think he's the best to have a good time. but don't get carried away w/ the whole " the entire crowd is spiky haired a/x shirt wearin guidos" bs...i speak first hand, and pretty damn unbiased lolyou own every a|x t shirt ever made in black and you spike your hair dont ya

scoob-e
JP is a solid DJ and remixer and has much respect from the new york circuit, its his crowd and his choice of venues that always bring him down.unfort, he wouldnt have much luck outside of the new york/jersey area being a prominant DJ. bassboy
 I had my fun back in the day at factory and all but he is no where near the best. Looping a song and dropping efx does not = a good dj.But neither does what Tiesto does: mixing in trance intros and outros and getting credit for the production of the song b/c the crowd has no idea...I'm not saying JP is the greatest either, I respect all DJ's, especially the ones that can control a crowd. But at least JP is doing things up there, trance DJ's do very very little and get a lot of credit. my humble .02!

crazyinsomniac
bro... she's from staten isand... If you were referring to me,yeah I am from SI,so what? If anything that gives me more of a reason to have that opinion b/c I have hung out w/ him before and he is a total druggie, while hes spinning he is high on K and every other drug, major crackhead status..Plus like I said,he is DEF' overrated, played out and sold out..get over it
