BillLe
Well the strip itself is free and will be nuts with all the fireworks and party people. But the clubs are all about supply and demand. There are only so many people a club can fit so they set the price as high as they can when they believe they can still sell it out and have a capacity crowd. In my opinon, being on the Strip sucks. Cold, Crowded and gets even worse after midnight. Too many drunken idiots going crazy. Be at a club, no matter which one. Just be indoors. Also some hotels will limit who they let in to hotel guests only. So if you're outside at midnight, plan on being outside for a long time or walking back to you hotel. leftymo
Crap! With the recent weather, I'm starting to panic a bit.I've never had a "no plan" for new years...Don't want to spend 100 bucks for anything...Maybe Rubber as a default, but at Seven? Not exactly the best venue. Is that lounge in Caesar's doing anything? I haven't found any posting of a specific party but I really liked the vibe there... (the one near the roulette & craps tables). Is there another vegas message board? An underground one?insiders guide... clubplanet is new york based, the other cities aren't represented well enough here.
mrvegas
I'm afraid to tell you that you are out of luck, you going to pay 100.00 or more everywhere. And that's if you make reservations now if you wait till day of it's going to go up. What do you need to know? This site is very good at helping people with their nightclub club requests, most of the "promoters", "Hosts" that post to this site are in or from Vegas. Don't know about caesars. If you can't get help try Napkinnights.com but at this point i think you are in a bind.
speedydemone
Might be a couple of laces w/o the big expensive fee. Do some homework and checkout different clubs web sites.
edlosangeles
Few tips for newcomers going to spend NYE on the strip...Bring WARM CLOTHES. Don't let the desert fool you. It is freakin cold on the strip @ midnight!Bring what you can drink with you. Last time I spent NYE on the strip, I was carring 8 cans of beer in my pockets! We had a blast! Bring lots of pateince! Getting to the strip, finding parking, and walking to the strip can be a task. There are LOTS of people on the strip. How many??? Try more then 80,000 people! BillLe
every bar here in Vegas is going to be crowded as hell. Casino bars, casino lounges, etc. Just make sure you're inside a hotel by 7pm. They will lock the doors and only let hotels guests in after that time. Hang out in a hotel, then around 11pm, make your way out to the strip. If you go to some parking garages the very top floor will not be too crowded and you'll have a good view.
moons4u
Anxious to see Pure. My friends will be working that spot.Hey there! I have not met you, but I live in Vegas and have read some of your quotes. A few of us are going to Pure and are excited about the grand opening. Was wondering if you can tell me maybe the best time to get there? Thanks
BillLe
if it opens at 10, get there at 9 and so on. Seriously and hour before opening is your best bet if you don't know anybody at the club who can walk you past the ropes.
speedydemone
Yeah fat chance of getting in at NYE. But try Saturday. Also come well dressed. See ya there, Moons.
edlosangeles
Currently, it is POORING in L.A. The storm is making it's way to Vegas and should be there by 5 or 6 pm. If the storm is still going strong, expect a lot of RAIN tonight! Talk about 'rain in the desert'!
