Again, it all depends on what kind of scene you want -- crowd, music, location, and vibe -- as well as what you want to get out of it, e.g. a cocktail or two versus shot-slamming versus a handful of brews. (see lalate's buddies checking into Paris)One night I'll say that Mix is my #1 preparty spot, because I'm interested in a relaxing start to the evening with great views. Another night I'll vote for Casa Fuente because it's the best place to enjoy a fine cigar and a scotch. Another night I'll vote for Mix because I want a dark room with cozy couches. Another night I'll vote for Shadow because of the dancers. And still another night it might be Isla for tequila and appetizers.It all comes down to what you're looking for. Lists and VIP and plans are great and all, but I don't know of a single place that is as easily reachable and affordable that allows you to just leave your hotel room and find a damn good time without too much effort.If you can't find what you're looking for in this town, you got to be not only blind but deaf and dumb as well. Great spanish food. and great latin, jazzy, house music.Thursdays, Fridays: Ra Sushi, located outside of Fashionshow Mall. Great food, djs playing old school hip hop, 80's, rock, and electronica music.Sunday: Ra Sushi again, local crowd, meet up spot. The best place to be before going to Body English, Risque, or Tabu.
