Lots of times asians go to crobar they get the line sorry there is a private party.

If people have tickets the door can pull the packed to capacity thing, wait in that line and when one person leaves the club someone in the street with a ticket can get in.

FOBS don't really know who BORIS is. Sometimes they hear of a Boris party at crobar and it is refered to as a big dj, meanwhile they all just saw him 2 weeks ago at asseteria.

FOBS don't know the name of the club is Crobar

They refer to clubs by street, 28th

Tiesto at crobar is just referred in Fob circles as big party #1 DJ, need ticket to go in.

There are people who sell tickets to FOBS and steer them towards certain clubs

Fobs are hesistant to try new clubs because all the other Fobs won't be there.

The Fobs now at clubs aren't the same Fobs that use to go to exit.

Big room clubbin seems to be a FOB tradition like everything else people do it than after a while for some reason they quit, than the scene get replaced by new FOBS

where they get their drugs ?

Love the way people say those are just settlements.

They were fucking charges brought up by Elliot Spitzer and Janet Reno.

They know more about US and NY law than anyone on here.

If they were willing to bring charges, then there was definetly a case.

And while i respect todd, this time he is wrong.

Fobs can't tell the difference between tenaglia and tiesto

Fobs for some reason can't hear music the same, maybe it has to do with them sounding like singing when they are talking

Maybe Some Fobs bug out at clubs because they are delivering Chinese food in the projects for a living.

Queens Fobs tend not to go out in manhattan too much, because Chinatown and Brooklyn run the manhattan clubs. And because there are many karoke bars in frushing to hang out instead.

Some of these girls fuck like 12 guys a day at a massage parlor during the daytime and go get high at night.

I was thinking the same thing .. and then darkbeat wrote that they were politicians just getting their name in the paper ... either way ... anyone who knows law knows this ... the PEOPLE who would really know who would have won would have been the JURY .. that was never choosen, why, avoid bad PR, maybe, to avoid taking a chance at getting their club shutdown .. quite possibly .. over all the bottom line is this, no one knows the law .. they can just SPECULATE a THEROY of an outcome based on their experience, the lawyers ...

they would never bring nor win a case against crobar especially when there is always such a diverse crowd at crobar

crowd control is also very essential to a nightclubs profits..that is also something that a court would have to take into account

U know it would be funny if there was club like the united nations and only a certain amount of people from each country of origin would be let in, there would be a counter outside with a world map.

The asians which everyone seems to dislike are the fujianese.

If you really want to go to crobar u can only get in on Friday, Saturday if you go before 1130pm, u better find a guestlist too, and bring a lady.

You will always be denied on saturday after midnight sometimes even if you brought a advance ticket.

Pacha has been doing the same thing for about 4 weeks now, but they aren't as rude as crobar, the guy will ask u if u are on the guestlist and when he sees u can speak english u are in.

Basically if u can speak english and dress proper u should be able to get in, i agree Crobar is wrong but, they have the right.

All the asians that speak english mainly go to hip hop parties now.

All the fujianese know not to go to crobar unless its friday and before midnight. For all the people who don't like to go see asians don't go to Avalon Saturday, Spirit Friday, Asseteria Sunday.

If you want to go to afterhours don't go to victor, go to gypsy or on sat morning oddysey that guy at the door is asian or the newparty mess

If u are asian look at c,l,u,b,z,e,n, they can help u get in on Crobar friday

If u dislike the whole big club drama go to shelter and parties like that

everything you have said is pretty much on point .. i really feel like i have been type enlightened to the way of the cracked out asian ...

so for all you jersey trash, tell your daddies to stop banging the massage parlor girls before going home to your mommies and then the chicks and their pimps wont have money to party and get fucked up

It is law -federal law- Title II of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

This is absolutely right. That's precisely one of the reasons why the Civil Rights Act was passed, to end discrimination by places of "public accommodation", that includes restuarants, hotels and certain places of entertainment, which includes nightclubs. There's debate as to whether the Civil Rights Act is even constitutional in the first place, but irrespective of that, that's the law in the U.S. and it's not going to change.

A member's only club is one thing, but a place like Crobar that holds itself out as open to the public would be considered a place of public accommodation under the law, and could consequently be held liable for excluding people based on race. They can discriminate because someone is fat, short, ugly, is dressed like a schlep (those categories are obviously not protected under the law), but they can't discriminate based on race which is a protected category. Any club is entitled a door policy, but it cannot be based on race.

Is it an easy case to prove? Not likely, a club can make the argument that these particular people come every week and get fucked up beyond recognition so they don't let them in on that basis, but the fact remains that if there is plausible evidence of discrimination, a case could certainly be made on valid legal grounds. There have been a number of lawsuits against nightclubs on Title II grounds. This is nothing new. Constitutional Law 101. I don't really see a lawsuit happening though.

and you dont think they have brought charges up against people and lost in court ??

they may have done it for political reasons like someone said, to win votes with asian population cause it was a major complaint...

you dont know what is going on behind closed doors

but untill you show us a court case that set the precedent in such a case, you really have nothing but a settlement from 2003 and your opinion,

.

and the reason we keep stressing that point, is that a settlement has no legal precedent...

meanign noone can refer to that case and say "well in blah vs blah the court did this" cuase the court did nothing

2 sides agreed to settle the case, without a judge or jury making the decision if anyone violated the law

in that case you cited, it does not mean the club was guilty of anything...it means they agreed to whatever the state wanted so that they dropped their investigation and no further action would be taken as long as they did what agreed upon
