A) For $70 you get access to the VIP Lounge with all you can drink Vodka Drinks provided exclusively by Mako Vodka. The Cover is included. Valet Parking is FREE to all the VIP ticket holders. There are only 50 Seats.

allow me to entertain.

while i am in support of great things happening in hartford, i have to admit that creating controversy, schisms, or rivalries is not productive in any way. hartford is far too small of a city to get nasty in. it doesn't help anyone.

just keep on doing what you do and give it your best. despite what people may say, the hilton could be a cool venue and can be transformed into something different for the night.

and to the yourhartford.com people, you have to realize you simply cannot please everyone. don't get offended if someone offers criticism or shouts out their complaints. i'm pointing out the so-called "yacht" party. while i admit it was a bit deceptive to advertise it as a yacht, you took a cool concept that works time and time again in nyc and boston and did it here in hartford. bravo. but keep is simple and honest. no one likes to be mislead. there's a very big difference between 'hype' and outright lies.

anyhow, best of luck on the 30th. looks like it will be a wild weekend of nightlife in hartford with boramusic.com on sept 29th bringing in donald glaude and then austin leeds on the 30th with yourhartford.com

I hear you, but in defense of the Deep Dish show, it was never advertised as Deep Dish. It was clearly promoted as Sharam from Deep Dish and/or Deep Dish featuring Sharam.

Now if we can only get Tiesto to come to Hartford. Now that would ROCK!! Would be the coolest freaking event ever.

lol! This topic can go on and on. I do have to disagree with you on the fact that Deep Dish was advertised correctly. It wasn't. I have seen SHARAM headlining in nightclubs all over the World as SHARAM and Not

LOL! I mean comeon. I know about 10 people who actually thought they had BOTH guys from Deep Dish. Why couldnt it simply be SHARAM of Deep Dish. Its all how you put it.

The way I see it is that there are people trying to build the house music scene here in Hartford by throwing one of a kind parties that have never been before in Connecticut.

About the yacht party, Hartford Advocate wrote an article on it which was extremely positive. They even mentioned the fact that everyone was having a great time and how fashionable and trendy the event was. I saw the pictures as well and they were amazing! Who the fuck cares on Yacht or a Riverboat. Bottom line is that the event was excellent. The Hartford Business journal wrote a great piece on it for god's sake! So lets just move on. will we.

There should be good credit given to every promoter because doing parties with this kind of production is not easy. Not just bashing them everytime they do an event. Its so sad that there are so many haters out here that its impossible to get the scene forward.

This event with Austin Leeds is very unique. I HAVE seen major DJs like Sasha and even Roger Sanchez in Puerto Rico where they DJed at the HILTON HOTEL! yes folks this has been done and with the right production they are much better than some of the parties I have been to in South Beach.

We have a Great friggin end of the month coming. Lets Enjoy it. Give everyone credit for what they deserve.

i agree. the work that goes into any event is very hard. i give lots of credit and huge amounts of respect to people like boramusic, yourhartford and room 960 for putting their necks on the line to pretty much bring in world class talent to hartford.

but i will disagree with you on that. the flyer speaks for itself. none of it was deceptive. i think this will clear things up!

A Quick Update on the Austin Leeds Party:

The Hilton Hotel has created a special Overnight stay package for the Austin Leeds event:

1. Standard room and full American breakfast for 2 at $119;
   
2. Club room and full American breakfast for 2 at $149.
   
3. Available Sat, 9/30/06, only.

The booking code is ALP. Guest logs onto www.hartford.hilton.com and selects dates, click go. Under Special Accounts, guest should enter ALP in Group/Convention field. Click continue. Guest then will select room type, then continue to enter their personal details and confirm their reservation.

Guests can also call 1-800-Hiltons or the hotel directly to book the package. Just mention they are looking to book the "Austin Leeds Package" to the reservations agent.

Leave it up to YH to segway into an ad plug...

I kinda liked the subject at hand, thanks for the commercial break though. BUT, in everyone’s defense, let me first start out by saying I'm a firm believer in backing up your hype and say it how it is. Yet I have been through the trials and tribs of trying to master the balance of hyping things to the point they're exaggerated(slightly or other) vs. hyping things up so you can break-even or pay some bills.

Truthfully it's a gift that all these different events go on in our growing little Hartford. And considering certain "people" put their money on the line to try something ballsy, I will give them the benefit of the doubt for atleast trying to make a difference.

Yes Sharam is only 50% Deep Dish, BUT that's a key selling point!!! This is basic marketing common sense, after all people (mind you I'm a DJ) DJ's basically play other peoples music. You shouldn't go to these events just to be star struck or say you went to see so-and-so… …as much as you should go looking for the "whole" experience. If Boramusic has to put DEEP DISH in bold letters on his flyers, then good for him, because that’s what will draw the numbers. And as from my experience in many clubs and events all over, the key factor is the “people.†Oh and liquor, haha but seriously… if YH promoted it’s “Project Aqua†as a yacht party but only had access to Lady Catherine Cruises (especially for the first trial, and by the way the boat pics were posted too) I believe that’s a smart move.

Yachts can only hold so many people so profits to rental are negative to begin with, and let’s be honest people, your not just there to admire the boats crown molding. The people that came to that event made the event (they weren’t too pretentious!)

Kudos to those promoters that make a difference, and I will mention as long as everyone continues to support them, we'll will only grow with them. A lot of you might not have an ultimate idea how much production/promotion/investments go into each event but understand the simple fact that “it ain’t cheap, and it certainly ain’t easy.â€
