DaVe and I have a mutual respect for each other and are on the same page when it comes to this.Well, if this is true, I welcome it. I have no problem with things that have their place, but the site has become hostile to newcomers. This is not something that I want to have. I also know from experience that this is *by far* not the worst.The aire of exclusionism is bad for business so I can understand and even condone the administrative "discouragement" of such behavior... but that would be mods and admins deleting attempts at newcomer hazing. What seems to be happening is the suppression of established feuds, rivalries, even inside jokes.The aire of censorship and authoritarianism is worse for business than a few ingenues being frightened off by the misunderstanding of homophobia, racism, and general antisocialism.
