momotx Posted August 9 Report Share Posted August 9 the standard rooms are pretty nice, from what i've heard...i've also been told that the tower rooms are also newer than the pyramid rooms. the bathrooms are supposedly not very big, but that's not why you go to vegas, right? i stayed next door at the mandalay bay - beautiful hotel, but their slot machines arent loose enough. bad sign when hardly anyone is playing slots...mostly playing the tables instead...it's connected by an air-conditioned walkway to luxor...the luxor casino is fun, fun, fun! esp. had fun at the blackjack tables (won $100) and the crowd is cool...enjoy yourself and don't lose too much money...just went in june and i wanna go back! dolik Posted August 9 Report Share Posted August 9 When I was there, I stayed at the Stratosphere...but I visited Luxor and it's a very beautiful hotel...I loved the layout and architecture (although they're all pretty much the same, I thought their casino was the best). Mandalay Bay as well...very luxurious...most clubers stay at either one of those two Don't forget to check out club Ra at the Luxor when you're there... How are the rooms? ill be at the Luxor Labor Day weekend with some friends, from what people are telling me it is a nice hotel, but honestly i couldn't care if it is top knotch, as long as its clean (which it is) and i can shower eat and sleep im set........it should be a pretty intense weekend .......im anxious to get there....... sd Posted August 9 Report Share Posted August 9 is where its at. If your under 30 it is by far the best place to stay. They have a sick outdoor pool area, the best of any casino, its just tons of people partying outside in the sun, getting fucked up. If your not staying there and its a busy weekend they often won't let you in. Rooms are nice, its reasonable priced. sd Posted August 9 Report Share Posted August 9 they are at most a 5 minute cab ride away. the Hard Rock is near the Airport and the end of the strip where Mandalay, the Luxor and MGM are, most of the best clubs in those Casinos, other than C2K at the Venetian which is down the strip a bit. the PimpnHo is at Mandalay which you should go to. to give you a rough idea, to walk end to end on the strip would take 20-25 minutes, all the best hotels and casinos are in the first 10. have a great trip, Vegas is fantastic. cotoncandydream Posted August 9 Report Share Posted August 9 Depends on what you are looking for. I stayed in the New Towers they built at the LUXOR last year I preferred it to the main pyramid. Their buffet is awesome though, second only to Paris. Hard Rock is probably the best hotel in town. They have nice rooms and attract the coolest crowd. Have fun! Emmitt Posted August 9 Report Share Posted August 9 Luxor's alright, found it kind of touristy...stay at the hard rock...def place to be....try out club bebe's in there...pretty phat house sounds...or Club C2k's...has the over sized nyc club atmosphere...there's after hour clubs there too, forget the one name, was just like the factory where everyone was cracked out!!! petp Posted August 9 Report Share Posted August 9 i hear the luxor rooms are decent. ive seen pictures and they look good...and its also a very cheap place to stay at. ra is a very cool club too. the crowd in the luxor is somewhat white-trashy though. mandalay bay is the best place to stay at. lots of great looking people and a really fun place too. i didnt care too much for hard rock. lots of l.a. people, which im not a big fan of. its very out of the way, so be prepared to take a cab to wherever u go. be sure to check out drai's at the barbary coast casino for afterhours (its only open a couple of days though..weds, fri, sat i beleive). avoid studio 54 at all costs...white trash city!!!! ra, rum jungle, c2k, and baby's are all pretty decent. have fun!!!
