Great question....Id say that miami is like ibiza during the conference when it comes to the amount of DJs (omni)present. Miami really only has one really big superculb though, and it doenst fit as many people as, say amnesia or Privilege in Ibiza...BUT, miami definitely has more of a chic appeal to it....art deco and some serious glitz and glam that allure some of Hollywood's most famous celebrities.....plus the Atlantic ocean on the coast of south beach and below is so gorgeous....mmm I can almost taste it thinking about it right now! It is really the American Riviera, persay, along the same latitude as the Bahamas and below, extreme close proximity to Cuba (many Cubans have floated to miami in tires and makeshift rafts it's so close) ...

the DJ booth looks awesome with the curtains... I think Spin and Amnesia have the most nostalgic memories for me of DJ booths. The one in amnesia is just sickening, with the entire graphic equalizer there and the mirrors above, not to mention is is just so big...what a great club, too bad the crowd inside was so crappy! (tiesto and pvd amde well up for that though)

Are you the MC that is on the TIC DVD release party from Breda? the one that says things like "whatcha gonna do, whatcha gonna do, tell the DJ I love you?" there is a re-ocurring MC with tiesto ive noticed thru the years...he says funny things and sometimes tries to make his own echo effect...Like when he says "Tiesto in control....in control....in control...." haha anyway, is that you.

It seems to me that these proposals are very carefully worded so as to create an air of symbiosis with these new laws...when in reality it will hardly be a two way relationship...but who knows...I mean, the cabaret laws are ridiculous, but it is difficult to tell if this is any better....actually it seems like they are trying to find a way to close clubs rather than just keep fining them...in some respects...who knows, but if this really does get out of hand then i am confident that city and this mayor, and the country in fact, will finally get to see people our age doing our civic duty and banding together for a cause....which so rarely occurs in our demographic...as we all know in general US politics, our generation is quite apathetic and thus often ignored by politicians in office and those running FOR office... We love our nightlife all too much to see it get further suffocation from local and federal government--- (but I dont agree with Gretchen's statement that we have THE best nightlife in the world...maybe in a massive concentrated sense we do...) The bottom line in many senses is that we are letting the republicans take our country over people!! My god it's amazing how constricting republican governance is----it's despicable, and it is offensive to a city as liberal and great as ours... this may all be hot air, but if not, i'd be extremely enthusiastic about doing everything in my power to make as much noise as possible fighting this---it would be interesting to see who the leaders would be and the strategies set forth...I mean, this is an issue that should be just as important to us as the issues and controversies of the 60's. No doubt about it. Dancing is a gift of life, not a priviledge...

i think he probably said it but in a joking manner...he jokes a lot in interviews...i bet the person just didnt articulate that in parentheses when transcribing the interview---you can see in the pix he was recording it...we all know how language can be misleading when its written and not spoken...it's difficult to gauge tone of word, compared to tone of voice!

I cant even imagine what that event will be like....they havent spun together in NYC in , i think, over 8 years, and this venue is over the top===

I never did make it to Crobar last night....whoaaa man that party I went to was ovvvvver the top! Nothing is publishable here....let's just say the night was utterly ridiculous and really, really, really fun.... The night was an X-rated episode of Sex and the City.... I remember people saying after TIC that some of the live vocal performances werent very impressive....I wouldnt put it past the sneaky dutch to try to dub it over with a studio recording. If there are close up-s of the person singing, look to see if the audio is in synch with the video of his/her lips moving.

hey man I was there, it was definitely a bangin party indeed! congratulations....i as well cant remember the last time I saw a club that packed on a thursday night.

let's add some of our own....here's what first comes to my mind: Going to church on the weekend is replaced by going to a fantastic brunch....and it's just as sacred. you know to avoid walking across 14th or 23rd streets, as the temperature is usually several degrees lower and it's definitely a lot windier. you use the empire state building as a compass. you  visit craigslist.org at least a few times a week. you say you'll go out for "just one drink" at 9pm and end up on a stage or dancefloor at 6am having the time of your life... An offer or insinuation for group sex comes your way at least once a weekend. you're eternally single yet reside in a city filled with millions of really good looking and eligible bachelors and bachelorettes. Â

First of all, Carisa it would be amazing if you came up here! i want to show you places in the city... secondly, did you guys know that Ferry Corsten is the niht after PVD at limelight? not a bad lineup back to back weekend of pvd and ferry. last time i saw ferry at limelight he was soooooo good, I had so much fun.

A friend of mine and I will be there, we are going to a birthday party first then heading to Crobar with them afterwards, will you be there? Â If so, I'll let you buy me a drink. Â 8)
