If you really want to avoid getting bothered by guys at SF, you can dress really conservatively. This is of course not right, since women shouldn't have to worry about wearing revealing outfits. But if you are really paranoid of getting groped by guys, this will help you, even more than having male protection. That said, I think any big dance club can be the harbinger of unwanted ass grabs. (Vinyl is probably the exception)

First off, I believe the president has a limited amount of influence on the economy. Economic cycles are unpredictable and are usually longer in duration than presidential terms, so its a bit incongruous to attribute the current economic state to the president. That said, I will be voting for Gore. The president does possess the power to nominate Supreme Court justices, and since 3 or 4 of the current justices are approaching reasonable retirement age, the vote could actually affect the philosophical slant of the court significantly. Bush is a hard core conservative, despite some efforts recently to camouflage this fact with the moniker "compassionate conservatism." By speaking at Bob Jones University, he essentially endorsed a school that up until two years ago banned interracial dating. He has complacently approved over 100 executions. Compassionate conservatism? I don't think so. It actually scares me to think of the type of rightwingers that could end up on the Supreme Court if Bush wins.

As far as fake breasts go, I think they are fine as long as they are proportional to the rest of your body. If a girl is 105 lbs. but has a DDD bra, that gives off a nightmarish cartoon-like impression. Similarly, I think the same thing applies to men. If a guy uses steroids judiciously, he can add a little muscle and get leaner. However, a guy who is 5'8 but 250 lbs. of lean muscle takes on the same nightmarish look of DDD 105 lb. woman. This is the type of guy who unequivocally juices. Sure some guys get big and fit without drugs, but they never acquire those proportions

Beautiful women (the category of women the poster is probably complaining about) can be arrogant at any club or bar. After all, they have all experienced the problem of guys who won't leave them alone because they are being friendly. Bitchiness can be a good defense. I don't think being there for the music or not being there for the music has much to do with it. Beautiful women shoot down guys at places other than SF and Exit, too.

If you still have fun dancing why do you have to stop, even when you are married? Some people get babysitters to go to stupid cocktail parties. Why not get a babysitter and go to a club? The people who go out for the music and to dance sober will do it for much longer than the people who go out to hook up and get messed up...

I agree with this. Most people play both roles during their life (good person/bad person). Whenever one person is more into a relationship than another, the person on the short end gets hurt. Women who say all guys are assholes seem to forget about the guy who kept calling and was really sweet but wasn't handsome enough for them. Guys who say all women suck seem to forget about that really cool girl they stopped calling because she wasn't hot enough. Most people are capable of a mutually fulfilling relationship, you just have to find people you are on a level playing field with. Don't waste too much time pining away for someone who looks down on you or holding on to someone when you are looking down on them. In the first case you are treating yourself with disrespect. In the second case you are treating someone who cares for you with disrespect.

yeah, people over do it... but if there wasn't some extreme behavior, the clubs wouldn't be half as fun as they are.

Definitely it is much easier for girls to hook up. when you go out, 95% of guys who are there without a girlfriend are looking to hook up with anyone cute or better. Very few women are looking to hook up with any old cute guy. Simple supply and demand. End result: most guys go home alone.

Hello had a great time at PVD... a lot of board people were there. I saw trancenergy for a second, and then he disappeared in a flash. Hung out with sdm and offshoot, and had lots of fun fighting United Nations traffic jams after dropping them off... hahaha. Twilo was lots of fun though, can't wait for the next one...

In all seriousness, I saw two girls who were pushing 300 lbs. But more power to them. They've got guts to go out and dance and not care what people think of them.

I stayed to 12:30... When we left there was an ambulance outside, and it looked like they were taking someone away. That's all I saw though, don't know any details.

SF closed kind of early, around 11:00. I guess because of the holiday weekend they shut it down early. My gfriend and I still had energy to spare so we tried Twilo, but they had stopped letting people in. oh well...

Since every girl here feels the need to point out that they would never let a guy within 10 miles of them unless they were madly in love, pretend that the makeout session happens after you have got to know the guy and have been on several dates with him. After dinner you go out dancing, and dance very close and begin making out. At what point would you not mind noticing an erection.

I agree. E won't make this touching occur. It's much more likely to happen with alcohol, since that drug tends to bring the negative side of a person's personality out. I think guys who harass women do it despite being on E, not because of it.

There's no question that it's a bad idea to drive after doing any substance, but alcohol actually affects your coordination and reaction time. E just affects concentration. While drunk, you will drive terribly even if you concentrate. And just because you think you are a "good drunk driver," doesn't mean that you aren't badly impaired. My main point though is that alcohol's legality does not imply that it is a safe drug. Drunk driving is just one negative side affect.

I've never really liked being at Twilo until after 4A.M., so I agree with everyone else in that respect... Plus, why the surprise at the fact people are cheering for the DJ's. At any show or concert, it makes sense that 90% of the people are there because they like who is playing. Finally, if you don't like the style of the musicians playing, your review doesn't mean too much. For example, if I went to a country music concert I am sure that I would not be qualified to review it, since I don't like that music style at all. If you feel the same about SandD's style of music, your words won't have any impact either.

Marijuana is safer... Alcohol is definitely not safer. It affects people negatively in a lot of cases, and leads to a lot of unnecessary fighting in clubs and other nonsense. Ever see someone beat the crap out of someone for no reason when on E? No way, but you see that at any crowded party in the city where everyone is drinking. Not to mention alcohol impairs driving more than E. Given the choice of between taking a ride with someone who did 8 shots and someone who did a pill, there's no question who you are better off with.

how late will limelight be open?

I didn't go, but my girlfriend was there. She told me about the naked girl. While she thought the idea of being naked in factory was pretty nasty, she also suggested that since it was the "underwear" party, perhaps this girl doesn't like to wear underwear and thus took it to the next level by going completely naked.

SnD was awesome, had a great time. I did run into Trancenergy around 8:30 or so, and I got it in my head he was p00h because I remembered p00h saying he'd have blue sneakers on... my bad! Its pretty funny how many of us were there. If you had the nerve, you could go from person to person randomly saying, "Hey, aren't you from the internet?" and probably find 20 or 30 people that post here.
