  1. Hi, I am going to Miami the week of the 21st. I want to stay in South Beach area, and I was wondering what are some good hotels to stay at. I'd preferably like to stay near the beach, a block or two away at most. I went all over the internet and saw conflicting review of hotels and what not. I don't want to stay in a ghetto ass place, nor a expensive high end place. Looking to spend about $100 or below a night if possible. Also, what clubs/parties should I hit when in Miami? I don't want to deal with too much attitude and shit, but am willing to if its for a really good place. Thanks. peace

  3. Club USA - 93 - You didn't need ID or anything back then. I followed that club with Expo and Tunnel in my early college years. Can't believe that was almost 10 years ago. peace
  4. I unfortunately made it real late to Centro-fly, around 3:45 AM due to having to take a drunken friend home. And the Stanton Warriors were already gone . I've seen them twice before at the Pinky and those times they were amazing. I was suprised that the main floor of Centro was still pretty packed at 4 AM. peace
  5. I went to the Love Parade back in '99 and had a crazy time, what an insane party. Hopefully I get to go back one day. peace
  6. Defintely. Guestlist will be closing earlier than usual, at 12 AM. But the price is still the same, $10 on the list. peace
  7. I'll defintely be there! I posted the party info on the promoter and calendar sections (Clubplanet hasn't updated the party info in the guestlist section yet ) peace
  8. Hard to say. But I bought the Hill's Absinthe bottle in Prague for about $10 American 3 years back. peace
  9. Absinthe is an alcoholic drink made with an extract from wormwood (kind of a poison). It's a beautiful greenish/blue color. Van Gogh and other artists/writers used to drink it back in the day. It's pretty much illegal everywhere, including most part of Europe, except for Czech Repulic and maybe Spain (not sure). peace
  10. For the real good stuff, Czech Republic. My bottle unfortunately is almost gone. peace
  11. I've taken breaks from the bottle quite a few times. Wanna clean out your system, fast for a day or two and drink nothing but water or juice. You'll feel like shit at first, but you'll get some of that blood wine out of you. Hardest part is going out with your friends and resisting. Grab a cranberry/orange juice combo or water insteaf of a drink, or for every drink you have, make sure you have a drink of water. good luck peace
  12. I grew up in Bensonhurt, lived in Coney Island/Brighton Beach and Kings Highway/Midwood area. Bensonhurt was predominalty Italian when I grew up there, but where I lived is where I had the most black friends ever, ironically enough. Brighton Beach might seem predominalty Russian, but its a weird mix of Chinese, Hispanic, Arab and Russian. Where I lived in Midwood area was again predominantly Russian as well, where English being spoken seems to not exist anymore. Truth I feel like the minority being American (yes I consider myself American, born in the US, parents born in the US as well) born in Brooklyn these days. I see your point about Yusek Hawkins, but being considered 'white' I was jumped quite a few times as a kid because of my skin color, and was the object of 'reverse racism' as they call it. I had to watch my back wherver I went. I could not walk into neighborhood like Flatbush, Bed Stuy, East New York and be safe. I think no matter what there is racism/prejudice at all corners in Brooklyn unto people different than the ethnic majority that exists in the neighborhood. But it'll make you a stronger person in the end dealing with it. Just my thoughts peace
  13. Hi, when exactly are you coming to NYC? GBH Friday nights at Centro-fly has great house and hip-hop music - email me at party@broidy.com for party info. I have had friends that stayed at Big Apple hostel near Times Square and it was decent and clean. You might want to check out http://newyork.citysearch.com for answers to your other questions. peace
  14. Plant throws tonite's party if I'm correct. You might want to try emailing plant@plantain.net . http://www.plantmusic.com/clubdates.html peace
  15. Hmm..I wonder if you know my friend, did you go to the University of Glasgow? I actually went to Garage2 I think. It was fun, cheesy dance music but scottish people are fun! I think it was Austin Powers night when I went (this was end of summer '99) Archaos was a cool club as well. Well have fun and if you have any questions about NYC, clubbing or whatever, shoot me an email or PM! peace
  16. I have a friend in Glasgow, she lives in Milgavie. I've been to Glasgow myself, partied at the Garage and Archaos when I was there over 2.5 years ago. I promote for GBH Friday's at Centro-fly so shoot me a PM or email if you need any party or guestlist info when you come to town. peace
  17. I'll be there with a bunch of peeps. Anyone else going?
  18. Welcome to CP! Centro-fly is a mid size club. Not as big as Exit but bigger than Spa. The main floor is decent size which is where the house/main DJ music is spun. Surrouding the main floor are smaller rooms like the crazy room, champagne room, and a bar. There is also the tapioca VIP room off to the main floor bar which plays 80's and new wave music. Downstairs is smaller, the Pinky room where its mainly old skool and hip-hop. Crowd ranges from older raver kids, B&T, to club kids and fashion whores. Dress code is pretty relaxed, just don't look like a slob. I like to say minimum 'trendy casual'. You're in for a real treat with Josh Wink, he's a great DJ. If you have any more questions feel free to PM or email me. Most likely I'll be wearing pants that looks like firefighter pants, black pants with beige bottoms, so if you see someone wearin' those, come over and say hello. peace
  19. By the amount of posts you've done in the last few months you probably should send a personal check! Seriously, I'm not disagreeing with you (though running a site like this isn't that expensive to do, hence all the different club boards these days, though this one is defintely organized better than most). I wrote what I did in response to CCD because I wasn't promoting my list, I was promoting the party and asking if anyone had questions and she responsed with the promoting the CP list. Hell I even said use the CP list. No biggie really. peace
  20. I guess CP has to do what they can do to make money. ANYWAY, if anyone has any question about the party itself, feel free to PM me and go ahead use the Clubplanet list. peace
  21. I'll be there of course. Posted the info in the promter section and calendar. If anyone has any questions feel free to give me a PM or email. peace
  22. That site had LFO listed as a electronic artist. That should say enough.
