Defintely not classy whatsoever, unless maybe at the VIP room. I haven't been there in a year, but I don't plan to go back unless there's some DJ I'm dying to go for. First the bouncers are assholes, they are sometimes racist, and power trip hungry fucks. Having to take my shoes off to prove I had no drugs on me so the bouncers can make sure I don't have drugs they can confiscate and sell themselves before I enter should be a sign. I felt like I was a conveyer belt and my whole purpose there was to help Exit make money. HUGE space I'll give you that, and good sound system yeah. I admit, I even had a good time chilling in the smaller rooms and side lounges near the main DJ booth when I was there last. But I'm rarely into big clubs these days, that's just me. peace

I'm defintely gonna try to see it! Read the series twice as a kid, and all the background books (Simallarion, Lost Tales etc.) My roomie works for New Line Cinema and saw it 2 weeks ago and said it was excellent, even the die hard fanboys will love it! peace

Clubwise it's hard to say cause usually its more crowded and harder to see a great looking crowd of people besides the VIP rooms. Generally Centro-fly, Lotus, One51 (even though I don't like that place they had a good looking crowd) are a few. Lounge wise is easier. Lounges like Luahn, Sugar, Tja, Union Bar, Sway, Abaya when I've been there have had pretty decent looking people. A lot of hotties go to the hotel bars like Hudson, Whiskey Blue, Underbar, Spread, - these are harder to get into though than clubs.

Asylum is aight, its kinda a typical bar, a bit darker with some seats, stool and couches. The place that existed before it used to be this rock bar, and then it changed like 2-3 years back. There's a new cool bar though on Bleeker off of Thomspon. I'm not sure about the name, but its got the middle eastern theme, a belly dancer, hooka pipes to smoke, and a DJ that spinned everything from middle eastern music to house to dance to hip-hop. I think it might be called fooloka or something like that.

I went to Shadow last year. I was a bit drunk, but I had good fun there with some peeps, I was the only white guy there but had no probs, but I can groove to the beat

'Luahns' on 5th Ave off of12th St is classy, no hood, hip-hop. Not crazy amount of space, but decent. They're pretty strick about girl/guy ratio, so don't go with a bunch of dudes. Also 'Sugar' in Tribeca on Church off of walker is decent, hot people and music was OK. peace

Free for a one rtime $150 fee, isn't that an oxymoron? I remember in college I heard a Baird Jones card and got in free all the time. Haven't been to Webster in over 2 years, really no desire to go back even though I live right near it.

You can find a lot of parties at smaller venues i.e. lounges and bars for under $10 or free with DJs spinning, our the upcoming DJ house parties that seem to be springing up all the time lately. As far as big clubs, your right, usually too expensive and way more than $15. peace

Shit lately I'll go check out a party or DJ by myself so I don't have to hear my friends whining about the music sucking (since they don't know jack and think hot 97.1 or KTU is good music), or my other friends wondering where all the B&T girls are for them to hit on. I just go, dance, and chill. peace

I got a flu shot about a month ago. Had no side effects and didn't even feel a little bit sick the next day which usually happen. My arm wasn't even sore. However this a chance your arm could get sore, you could get a little sick for a day, or the 1% (I could be wrong about percentage) that die or get paralyzed from it (they'll tell you all this when you get the shot.) It takes 2-3 weeks though for the shot to become effective, so you should get it ASAP if you're going to get it. peace
