That's funny. Maybe I'm just a crackhead, but I got a flyer when I was walking out of Centor-fly the other night and I thought it said he was spinning at Limelight next Saturday. You know what the deal is there? If it's Centro though I'm definitely up for it. I really dug that place. Let me know because I want to check it out. JohnB

I go out all the time sober, I only do E occasionally, and now I'm taking a long break since I went way overboard with it in Ibiza a few weeks ago. I love it sober too, although I get different things from it. I like smaller more chilled places with softer music when I'm sober. But I don't like to be totally sober, I like to load up on Red Bull vodkas. Usually when I'm sober I start to fade around 6:30-7. But I can go longer if I'm with people who push me. Just keep yourself in shape and eat well and staying out late will feel a lot easier. JohnB

I was there last Thursday and it was off the hook! Great music. The crowd was good too. Trendy, but still open and everyone dances. Not too crowded and a nice place. I'll definitely be going back there but this week I'm out of town. They have good lineups on Friday and Saturday too. JohnB

misskittie, I don't want to diss on you since I don't know you, but I have to say that it's a bit stupid to think that because some news reporter who obviously didn't know the details of the story because they hadn't come out yet mentioned E "or another drug" to look like he had a clue what he was talking about, that you would think that it means he was on E. This is exactly how E gets such a bad name, and people think it's as dangerous now as coke or heroin. This news reporter thinks death in a club=E without knowing what he's talking about, and you who as a clubber should know better even believe in this s&%t. Unless you take something that is not at all E or you take it with antideppressants, E does not kill people. GHB kills people if they combine it with other drugs, especially alcohol, but E doesn't kill people. This is a perfect but sad example of how the media hysterics get people to believe that E is going to kill every suburban child in the country as they now seem to. PLUR, JohnB

Nolimit, Just hope he catches the plane. I was supposed to see him for 7 hours including 3 outside and 4 inside, and only got 3 total. He missed his plane and didn't show till 3 am. Still brilliant though. BTW, do you work with GU? Do you know Bela, the Hungarian guy who works for them? He put on all the wickedest parties in Hungary. JohnB

What a horrible day! The f%&@ing subway I was on to get there broke down and I spent an hour underground. When I finally got there at 3 the line was at least 2000 people long. Unbelievable. I waited for a few minutes then some security guard came out with a megaphone and said anyone so far back wouldn't get in by closing. So I just fucked off. The sounds were wicked though, I'm sure it was a brilliant party. My dumbass fault for not getting there earlier. Missed Twilo on Friday, was too tired. Missed B&S on Saturday, showed up too late. What a f*ing weekend. JohnB

Space is the best club in the world, no doubt. Such an amazing vibe. Especially for the afterparties when not so many people are there. And Bora Bora is brilliant too. Ah, to be back on Ibiza I would... At least next year is less than one year away. JohnB

Recovering is a good idea, when I got here I was really sick and couldn't get off the couch for a week, that's why I missed PVD. Feeling better now, but I'm off the pills for a good while. I am Libertarian and pro-choice, and the two presidential elections I was able to vote in I voted Libertarian rather than for Bush or Dole, but this time I think I will break down and vote for one of the major parties. Democrats are just off my list because they seem to want to interfere in my life too much and I don't believe that the government is a solution for anything. And partly because Bush doesn't seem that bad, and partly because Gore does seem so bad, I am planning to vote for W this time. Also, I was so pissed off about the bombing of Yugoslavia, which was so wrong and unjustified, but that's another subject. If I was more to the left politically, I would certainly vote for Nader over Gore, because he's just so pathetic. Just my $.03 JohnB

BlueAngel, It is definitely raver friendly, as it is friendly to anyone and everyone. They let everyone in who is 18 or older, and the crowd is really diverse. You would definitely dig the vibe there. I'll be going back so let me know when you go and we can meet up. BTW, I'm also taking a bit of a rest. I will be partying sober for the next couple of months. JohnB

Just don't try to take any drugs into 1015. They'll practically strip search you and haul you into jail if they find anything. Plus they have put up cameras all over the club to tape any possible mischief. Shame because according to my friends in SF it used to be brilliant. Now they won't go near the place.

Hard trancey techno. One of the few DJs who can play that hard but still pull you into it and keep you there. Not my style of music really, but he's a really good DJ. Worth checking out if you haven't. You may like it. JohnB

He used to come to Hungary a lot, where I used to live. He said it's his favourite place to play. He gets really into it there. He's as good as Seaman, Digweed, and all the rest of that lot I would say. Has a somewhat different style. Not straightforward prog house. Lots of dirty trance type shit. Definitely brilliant live. I would think he would have to come over here to promote the new CD like every other Brit does when they release something. BTW, GU 17 will be Danny. Due out Sept 18th according to the flyer I got at Space. JohnB
