For you soccer fans, as reported in today's NY Post. http://www.nypost.com/gossip/37197.htm December 27, 2004 -- FILMMAKER Peter Scalettar is taking a novel ap proach to shooting his film "Boca vs. River" about violent soccer gangs in South America, where killings inside stadiums are common. When local crews balked at shooting in the roughest parts of cer tain stadiums, for fear of being assaulted by thugs, he hired the actual gang mem bers to capture the footage from inside the stadium. "It's sort of like Iraq, where a lot of the footage in the really dangerous zones is being shot by locals who aren't afraid to get in there. I'm giv ing a few of these gang guys cameras so they can film when they're in their own part of the stadium, which the local produc tion crews refuse to enter. I already have a few lined up to start shooting in April," Scalettar told PAGE SIX. "I don't expect to see the cameras again, but I'm paying these guys after they come back with the tape. It's a bit more dangerous than my last gig directing the MTV show 'Room Raiders,' where the scariest thing was finding sticky magazines in some kid's room." Filming for the movie gets under way in early 2005. Marco - where the hell are you???????
