Yes, Twilo Miami is closed now. Poor planning and lack of interest shut it down. They weren't open on Fridays and on Saturdays they decided to cater to the gay crowd. Nothing against gay people but straight people in Miami will not go to a gay club even if the DJ is awesome. Twilo only pulled in people when they had special guest DJ's or during the WMC. But those special occasions were far and few in between.

I have no idea what's going on with that place but it wouldn't surprise me if it shut down. It was only open on Saturdays and catered to the gay crowd. If you want to stay profitable you better do killer business that one night or get more events going. I went there during the Winter Music Conference and the sound system was killer, too bad they couldn't book any DJ's during the rest of the year.

I see your point but usually if I want to get high on something I'm doing damage to myself and only myself, unless I get behind the wheel of a car then everyone's in jeopardy (which I don't advocate). But bringing weapons out to a club and then mixing it with liquor is a recipe for disaster. Also besides the 600 arrests there was a double homicide on that weekend. I'm sure it was over some petty shit too. Oh well, next year it'll be more of the same.

as someone that lives in Miami Beach I couldn't agree with you more, everybody that lives here gets the hell out that weekend, it's resembles the movies Black Hawk Down!

MIAMI (like many others) is being completely taken over by: Hip Hop, RAP, Reggaeton, Salsa, Bachata, Cumbia, VIP rooms, AND way too many Non Intelligent "Teenage Dropouts" with gangsta looking tattoos up their necks, arms, etc and even some people with "weapons" just driving all around passing all the Clubs & South Beach because most couldn't get in even if they tried from their appearance or their thug-ish attitudes, possies and the PRISON MENTALITIES! * WHERE THIS ALL STARTS AND ENDS LIKE A CYCLE! - Truer words have never been spoken!!!!!
