  2. I did not have a problem with being on the list. Tell them that you are on the house list. That should take care of it. The lights came on at 2:30 and I left at 2:45. The K was there and not very discrete either. ------------------ JDogg AIM: JDoggNY2000

  5. Suffice it to say that he does not remember much after 12:30. Points to remember for a fun night: 1 - Do not feed Ichi any Tequila. 2 - Don't boot it into the urinal. 3 - Jaeger shots should *always* be from a big glass.... 4 - Mixed drinks does not mean that you have one of everything. 5 - Always make sure that the Designated Driver is around so he can remember what happend and make fun of you later. 5 - When the band buys you shots of whiskey and dedicates the encore to you, you know that it was a *good* night.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY! And until next year ------------------ JDogg AIM: JDoggNY2000
  6. I think that having an electrical fire caused by faulty installation of new sound equipment is always an option. Just make sure that your insurance is current and will cover the cost of the renovations that you want to make. --OR-- Steal away DJ talent from other clubs with big $$ residency contracts. ------------------ JDogg AIM: JDoggNY2000
  7. CNBC had a couple of pieces on it. It is allegedly a new method of personal transport, a significant advance has been paid by Harvard University Press to write/publish the book on the development of the "It". There are patents on the device, however there is some sort of proprietary nature to it so the full patent is not available for review at this point. ------------------ JDogg AIM: JDoggNY2000

  10. Congrats and good luck in getting a new job. I have no idea about the unemployment thing. I have stuck with the same company that I started with right out of high school. Right or wrong, I have stuck it out. I guess that it just was not as bad as what you have right now. Smile, bake lots of cookies, and have fun! ------------------ JDogg AIM: JDoggNY2000

  12. If we were no longer together, the amount of communication would be reduced. I don't think that I would be silent, but I know that I would not be talking/emailing as much as i did before. Move on and see what happens in two weeks and see if he calls back then. ------------------ JDogg AIM: JDoggNY2000

  16. DaVe: Couple of odd refresh errors as messages are deleted from the inbox. When the message count goes to zero, the count shows error, but once refreshed, reads properly for unread. When refreshed, the deleted mail does not go away. ------------------ JDogg AIM: JDoggNY2000 [This message has been edited by jdogg (edited 01-11-2001).]

  23. I take a different look at the snowbaord issue - I like the carving boards - i.e: Hard boots, plate bindings and narrow stiff boards. These are not for the terrain parks or the half pipe, but are for serious carving and turning and going down the mountain. I took the day off yeaterday from work and went to Stratton and ended up riding with two binding company manufacturers - Catek and Bomber. There were better than 80 plate riders there. Compared to maybe having 4-5 plate riders at any mountain on a given day, this was a neat experience. Alpine boards are not typically found in any board shops. Rossignol, Sims, Volant, etc. all make alpine boards. I think that they are more fun to ride, but do take a much greater physical toll from you. These are the boards that you can see the riders carve the turns and have thier shoulders 6 inches from the snow as they go around turns. See www.bomberonline.com and the message board there for carving info - it is the website of the binding manufacturer. I know that this was way off the original topic, but I thought that I would share anyway. ------------------ JDogg AIM: JDoggNY2000
  24. I know of two people that did: One shot himself after a long battle with drugs and a bad relationship One shot himself after not doing well in college (Dartmouth) - he was the valedictorian in my high school and a pretty good friend. ------------------ JDogg AIM: JDoggNY2000
