  3. their mix of andreas johnson's glorious- puts the original to shame the way a re-mix should. especially when you cut 3 mins into the song . . . um, check out their mix of filter's song "picture" or whatever it's called.
  4. ha! all i have to say is it was a beautiful night to be waiting outside. the gods of music opened up the sky for just a few hours, the whole day was freezing, and only an hour after closing did it get windy and cold again. no complaints here :-D. ------------------ "I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it." -voltaire

  6. one word baby: "SMALLS" you can't talk in there, except for between sets, so if you are going to socialize i don't recommend it. however, you can smoke a joint in there and you bring your own alcohol, they don't serve anything. village vanguard their house band on mondays is awesome. and sweet basil, there you can really socialize, they serve dinner there and always have amazing performers on fridays and saturdays. but if you go to that area, like someone mentioned- waverly near blue note and 7th avenue south, there are a bunch of jazz places. there's another ritzier place on the upper west side, i don't remember the name, was only there one time, if i remember i'll let you know. ------------------ "I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it." -voltaire

  9. definetly check out Montreal! clubs were like 5 canadian $- those were the cheesy ass clubs though. we were mostly club hopping this past august, but then we were at one place with this AMAZING trance DJ- and he gave us info on a larger club- just ask the locals when you get there, anything open past 3 is underground, and that's the good stuff. sorry i don't even remember stret names. --sharon oh! and it's such a nice drive ------------------ "I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it." -voltaire

  13. ooooh ender's game just finished it last night . . . ending was SO intense. gibson's neuromancer was a great novel. i LOVED All Tomorrow's Party's. and great gatsby- only book i read 5 times. wuthering heights great novel- great movie "we love laurence olivier!" can't pick just one. top five: Paul Auster's Leviathon Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment Voltaire's Candide Herman Hesse's Siddhartha Stephen King's Different Seasons ------------------ "I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it." -voltaire
  14. the environmental issues . . . UH! alright, it's one thing that they bribed their way into the executive spot . . . he puts Whitman in his cabinet for environmental issues . . . within the next 4 years, there is another global meeting in regards to cutting down industries and pollution- with the US causing the most damage (and that doesn't include other countries who are producing for we the people in US the leading consumers). We have NOT cut down much, and they have traded money for other countries to cut down their piece of the pie instead of the US. I know I have no right to say anything, as a consumer and non-lobbyist, but this shit would not happen if Billy Boy or Al were in office. oil spill in the galapagos today ------------------ "I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it." -voltaire
  15. ummm . . . does anyone else realize that AIDS IS A FUCKING EPIDEMIC IN AFRICA?!?! cutting funds to planned parenthood type organizations doesn't just mean to abortion activism. it also effects condom distribution and general education which the US has been involved in. this is bullshit. ------------------ "I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it." -voltaire

  19. yeah, tried to do that with their song "tourettes" (spelling?) this was a few years back- OMG i think there were about 100 variations on the web "hello, hello, how low" heheheh ------------------ "I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it." -voltaire
  20. ok first off, can you please stop ". . . " ing all of your topics! it's fucking annoying. now that i'm done whining . . . words in songs are great- but think about this- words are only one element of a song, while all those instruments, ALL being the keyword, play such a larger part. i'm a lyric freak, but when it comes down to reviewing a CD, that's the last thing I note. ------------------ "I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it." -voltaire
  21. whoops, sorry i didn't read what you write before i posted my half assed response with the same idea. any suggested readings opala? ------------------ "I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it." -voltaire
  22. i think hitler had access to any woman he wanted (think clinton). also, did you know it turned him on when women pissed on his head? he had a whole psychological S&M problem. he being the victim. if anyone really cares about why hitler was the way he was, you should study some psychohistory, there are TONS of books on hitler. the first psychobiography was on him, as the movement started right before world war 2. the guy who did the study, actually predicted that hitler would eventually make bad strategies, and in the end commit suicide. ------------------ "I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it." -voltaire
  23. i just had a conversation with my friend about this. through meditation he reached a state of higher consciousness- and was at a place that was familiar, yet he had never been there before. i felt the same thing tripping one time- you know where time is standing still, yet moving very fast, you've done all this already, but this is new. anyways, we got into a discussion- which later moved on to another discussion with my father- if these are in fact just in your mind or if you are actually pausing time in your mind, and being in the past or in the future (because i think we can all agree time is just a label) in a different life or different being. ------------------ "I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it." -voltaire
  24. yeah but isn't what you remember part of your imagination because it is HOW you remember it? I fell on my head when I was 4 years old (and 11 months, and 5 heheheh- no joke!) and i still remember it. but not all aspects, just certain ones, like the jumping on the bed part (again, no joke ). d'you ever have a memory of a dream- that after so many years you can't remember if it really happened or not? theory #1: your imagination is just another part of your memory/concsiousness. you can break down the idea of "god" in this way. for example: you've heard of martians, and you can describe a martian, but you've never seen one. the way you might describe it would be, "it's green, it looks like a human, but smaller, with bigger eyes." but isn't that only because you have seen things that are human, things that are green, etc. etc.? ------------------ "I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it." -voltaire
  25. HOLY SHIT!!!!!!! Aight so i got home from twilo 30 mins ago, it's 2AM now bummed as fucking hell, but GUY YOU JUST MADE MY NIGHT! i thought being told "you are not allowed back in here" was a sign i was suppose to either move to europe until i turn 21, or be "good" until i am 21. FUCK THAT! I've been waiting for Tsunami to come around since last time- what was that september?0 the sucker that i am i just picked up one of those shitty made CDs that make psy trance look bad. anyways, if i see you all there cool puresugarcube ------------------ "I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it." -voltaire
