  1. i dont see how this is in any way propaganda. it just presents the facts. just because someone starts talking about drugs in the rave scene, you guys get all reactionary... get real
  2. damn, a fight/riot at an arcade due to some girls having an argument? why do people have to be so fucking ghetto
  3. whats so sick about it? i dont want to pay $20 to find out ;P
  4. actually i'd say its all the more surprising considering it -is- for charity... all the charity events that ive come across have been priced higher than normal, probably because that allows everyone to donate some money to a cause and earn their usual wage at the same time... i'd say this $10 cover is a result of basic generosity. appreciate it! =P
  5. ...and then the cops will arrest you and then you can pretend to be an inmate too
  6. i am going and bringing my peeps! HOLLLAAAAAAAA!!!! can't wait!!
  7. i personally found sasha @ arc to be the most amazing clubnite in a long time.
  8. tee hee, ive never been to a clubnite that started at 8pm before
  9. when cigarettes vary according to geographical market (only some do, others, like say nat shermans and dunhills, dont), they are formulated to suit the taste of the market where they were originally intended to be sold. when you buy cigarettes from overseas that are slightly different from what you buy at home, they arent inferior cigarettes, just suited to different tastes. you might find yourself liking imported formulations better, so it never hurts to give imported cigs a try, especially since theyre a lot cheaper than indian reservation discounts, and a hell of a lot cheaper than your local nyc cornerstore. the ones coming from switzerland tend to be cheapest. search for "cigarettes switzerland" for a selection. yesmoke.com is the most popular, but there are others. and there is no point in posting anti-smoking vitriol here, since anyone viewing this post obviously wants to smoke. but yes, they do cause cancer and other nasties.
  10. actually, although what you say is true, there is a bill chillin on the house floor right now, H.R. 5211, proposed by Rep. Howard Berman that would allow copyright holders to attack the computer of individuals found in possession of illegal files. granted, the bill stipulates that only the offending files may be targeted, and no other files or systems may be harmed in the process, but this is virtually impossible. peep that shit here - http://www.house.gov/berman/p2p.pdf
  11. shutthefuckup, the black mask is da bOMB ass movie! jet li delivers the usual amazing martial arts moves, and since this was low-budget without much of an effects budget, you get to see the real thing sans-computer editing. but anyway, this movie is filled with great cliches... like that stupid fucking MASK... it looks like a piece of cardboard, literally. but thats good-natured fun to me... :] .. AND, a pretty good soundtrack too (put ya hands in tha air if ya love hip-hop)
  12. definitely all ages. the delta heavy promo material ive seen says all ages, and world's website says all ages as well.
  13. this is ridiculous! in a good way, of course. this is one more club to add to my "good" list... centro's 21+ policy is pretty annoying, and this is a welcome change and we all thought ny nitelife was dead....
  14. i had to talk with some guy from ottawa cause a truck driver insured by their company rear ended me in new jersey... i cant stand that accent!! i dont mind quebeqois french accents tho... those are nice i hope vancouver peeps dont have that silly canadian accent... i like to think that vancouver is somewhat of a perfect place =P
  15. i was wondering who those guys were!! ive seen em both the last two times i went to howells @ vinyl... it was great last month, when the girl dressed up as a princess, or something... the outfits were precious! so, do they come from the Kingdom of Dance?? heheh
  16. okay, i wont go into the ignorance and short sightedness of this comment too much, except to say that you have a poor understanding of their religion. how about practicing some tolerance and educate yourself on people who are different from you before you start posting this sort of utter bullshit? it's a good thing you arent making any decisions for the rest of us. then again, i dont know if the ones who are making the decisions for all of us are that much better...
  17. i just cant believe i cant wear some comfy baggy jeans and sneakers to this event
  18. i personally -hate- paying to use those overpriced parking garages... and what the fuck is up with that 18.75% tax or whatever? if the tax is going to be that RIDICULOUS, then they should just include it in the advertised rate... personally, my car has never been broken into, although friends and family have had those experiences. hopefully, though, it wont happen to me anytime soon since i never leave a thing in the car.... which street do you guys who have had cars broken into usually park on? hudson st is prolly the best bet for anyone heading to vinyl or centrofly, since its one of the busier streets around there...
  19. hey guys... i didnt go to the meetup but heres a funny story.. my friend and i got there around 4am and got searched and were about to pay to get in when i realized that i only had $24 in my pocket. damn! so we went back out to my friend's car and started ransacking the thing for extra change or money. we ended up with about $24.85, at which point i just decided that this was too ghetto of a situation and i'd prolly be better off with extra money to buy a drink with so we drove around the block to citibank to withdraw some money... we ended up getting onto the dancefloor by around 4:20 which wasnt too bad... and my friend and i were bangin it out on the floor till the end, a lil after 8.. i havent gotten down that hard in a while, hehe.. it was muchos fun.... i went last month to howells as well, but got there before guestlist cutoff at 1am and left around 5... and as i suspected, his set progression moves along smoothly and towards the end of the night he started -really- cuttin it loose.. awesome mixing. and ah... im not usually that good with track ids but the encore track that he played was mj cole - sincere (miguel migs petalpusher remix) if anyone was curious... a great, uplifting choon to end the night on a chill note if you ask me hope you guys had as much fun as i did
