word, almost my exact thoughts... $30, strolled by all the jackasses waiting on line. only one annoying asian corner. (im a horrible person, NO OFFENSE.) i didnt think it was anywhere near as packed as new years. i liked some of the changes, but i wanted speakers on the roof. music was decent, not excellent, but serious party... i just wish it wouldnt be shut down bc of stupid people.

i just have 2 small things to say... one who does a drug is doing it of their own accord, unless a gun is to their head. people should take responsibilities for their actions and not blame it on others, no matter who they are. at the same time, judging who is a "waste of space" and who is not merely based on drug use is the most ridiculous thing i have ever heard. no one "deserves" to die.

"All of a sudden jp get's on the mic saying he's sic and not gonna do parties like that anymore." yo, if ur gonna make a bullshit post with everyone bitching at the typing, then at least get ur facts straight kiddo... he came on the MIC saying the cops were shutting the club down, he didn't say he was sick, he apologized for closing early. idk much about him as a person, but usually i hear ppl saying he is an asshole and doesnt give a shit about his fans... however last night he actually did say "im sorry for closing early and i appreciate everyone who did come out and support me." also, he asked ppl to party more responsibly, so whether hes sniffing meth all night or not, at least he does his shit responsibly, and thats the important thing. come on, even the ppl who make fun of crackheads, im sure have done a couple drugs in their day, MODERATION is key. there are things that are just gonna happen no matter what anyone says, its stupidity that ruins it for everyone else.

it means be appropriate, look hot, have an id that is legit and says ur 21 or dont even try... i dont like how theyre getting all serious, but this is the real deal. the party is gonna be insane and now its gonna take effort to get in. i dont know about price changes, thats kinda bullshit and i guess ill just see what happens at the door, but this is no joke. once i do get inside, im just gonna dance dance dance. people bring sneakers in a bag or something if ur that worried. i plan on goin straight from work wearing heels with sneakers in a bag. i mean with only 4000ppl the coatcheck may be better than new years right? haha... i just hope i still get inside this place... after all this time...

i went this past saturday. the place was so empty that acosta didnt go on till like 3 or 3.30. and it stayed fuckin empty pretty much all night. i mean i put my bag and coat down on the dancfloor while i was dancing, thats how much room i had. its really sad, u go in there and u can see from one end of the room to the other, no lie. remember exit when it got really shitty? thats what sf is like now... including the crowd. its like the ppl from exit (not meaning to be racist, but yes the crowd was 75% asian) transferred down 10 blocks, and march 13/14, the crowd from sf will be at 56th. seriously, its just really upsetting to see the club so empty, i just kept shaking my head all night.

that sounds fuckin awesome. congrats on making it far... im jealous, i would love to go to some kinda audition just to check it out. i doubt id make it anywhere, but u hafta start somewhere right? anyway... if u ever find out about more amazing opportunities like that, please let me know (if u want to, if u dont want to, thats fine.) ive been wanting to start trying out auditions just to get a sense of whats out there. if u have any additional info, i would love it. thanks.

i agree the name makes no difference... all that matters is JP is back and sundays will be fun again. im sooooo excited for march 13!!!!!!! i just hope he turns exit into our home...

thats the plan, marco v at sf (the party's gonna be dead anyway, i mean come on, its sf) and then misstress barb at arc... YAAAAY! sunday night party at the key possibly. then monday to thursday its a VACATION IN MIAMI!!!!

i am trying to go misstress barbara this sat night, but i also wanted to go to marco v at factory. i see the set time for marco is 1am-4am, and im wondering if anyone knows what time miss goes on (is there an opener before her) bc if she starts at like 3am, i may be able to swing both, but otherwise i gotta make decisions!!! help if anyone knows the ARC set times for sat night, let me know. maybe i will... i work right behind arc on laight st, and ill be there saturday bc its one of the busiest restaurant nights of the year, so maybe ill head over to arc first, then make my way somewhere else... we will see... it all depends on what else is goin on that weekend. arc is just so damn small.

someone tell me if i am mistaken... havent misstress barbara and marco v played on the same night recently in nyc? only i think it was marco at arc and misstress at avalon, now its misstress at arc, and marco at what - sound factory? thats fuckin annoyin, i never know how to choose... i think last time i was so frustrated i didnt go to either venue. hopefully ill be able to make some kinda decision this time around.

i was there. it did not look like sf at all, u wanna know why? bc there was actually room... there was room in the basement and upstairs. thats not too surprising. but there was room on the main floor too, and even on the mezzanine level, it didnt take me 10 minutes to get from one end of the bar to the next. in fact u could travel thru the whole club in less than that amount of time. the music wasnt spectacular. the building itself misses jp. i did have a good time dancing. but it definitely was not the same. or even close. what i did see was richard grant at the entrance, observing it all....... hes gotta be wanting jp back, i mean he isnt making ANY money... i for one didnt have to pay to get in, in fact that and 2 free drinks made the night worth it... among other things

i left really early bc i went over to sf, but while i was there, it was pretty good. early on, i REALLY didnt like how he was using cds as opposed to vinyl, but then he got into his record bag. my favorite part of the night (and i was surprised to hear this from him, maybe i just dont know his style?) was motorcycle's as the rush comes... EMBRACE ME SURROUND ME AS THE RUSH COMES....
