  1. I was at Fabric on Saturday too. Adam Freeland was awesome and yeah, the no dress code thing rocks. It got pretty packed in there and the vibe was great, but i'm sure the fact that everyone is on SOMETHING in there helps. Not a sober face in the crowd. Didn't really detect any pretensiousness from anyone. I thought everyone was super friendly. Anyway. It's Monday night here, and raining and I'm bored off my ass. Maybe I'll take a nap and head out a little later. Until next time, folks... PEACE!!
  2. I'll be staying at the Internation Student House for a couple of nights and the 2 nights after that, I have no plans. They're charging about 16GBPs a night. Not too bad, and definitely better than a hotel. Where are you going to be going tomorrow night then? I honestly have no idea about a guestlist at Fabric, but I'll probably get there early so that I can leave, in case I wanna check out The End (which I hear is also a good club) Have you ever been to that one, then?
  3. I'll be flying into London tomorrow morning 7:00am (your time) It'll be my first visit and I'll be by myself, so any suggestions would be GREAT! I'll probably do some touristy stuff after I check into my hostel and then hit up Fabric for Terry Francis and Adam Freeland. I've been hearing good things about that place. Your opinion? Is there a dress code? Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks!
  4. starred? "He stinks and I don't like him" was his line in the movie.
  5. ouch. talk about bad timing for a kitchen fire... glad no one was hurt though.
  6. He's on that Tough Crowd show with Collin Quinn on Comedy Central. Isn't Stress Factory in New Brunswick, not Hasbrook Heights?
  7. I can't believe Positive K wasn't mentioned in this whole thread. The dude hit on you with a line from a song from 1992! 9. I'm looking for a song that a DJ told me is called, TOP BULLIN. It's not really a well known song and I thought I'd never find it but some dude played it. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find ANYTHING on it online (Lyrics, artist, year). Anyone know what song I'm talking about and who it's by?
  10. Co Worker: So, do you guys celebrate Thanksgiving? Me: What do you mean by celebrate and why wouldn't we? Co Worker: Oh, because you're Asian. I don't know if you eat turkey with the family. Me: Oh. Well, no we don't actually eat turkey for Thanksgiving. We sit around and eat DOG with out chopsticks and call it DANG-SU GI-BING. Co Worker: Are you being serious? Me: Please go away and die.
  11. any recommendations for London and Amsterdam for the next few weeks?
  12. GOD DAMN IT! do you KNOW how hard it is to click on that tiny dot. Next time i do all that work, I want something out of it, instead of another dot! *Breath* The last 15 minutes before 5pm are the worst.
  13. Did the senior vice president for marketing just say, "dis"? I agree with Xpander, it does read like an objective newspaper article rather than a report for a class. It is very informative, however. The print ads that they're suggesting would make awesome TV commercials. Starting with an extreme close up of the watch and then zooming out really fast with the totally unexpected images that they describe.
  14. haha... i thought it was funny.
  15. I'll be in London that week too. Let me know if you find anything interesting. I'll probably take bigpop's advice and hit up Fabric and The End. I was going to try and make it to Sheffield for PVD but I think it would be too much of a hassle.
  16. Sat 20th Sep 03 Mark Farina Craig Richards Jon Marsh Terry Francis Adam Freeland Pure Science (live) CHILLIFUNK RECORDS Dr. Bob Jones Lofty Andrew Baker NICE. I'll probably be hitting up Fabric on Saturday night. Anyone going to be there?
  17. Also, I want to go to Crasher 9th Anniversay party up in Sheffield on the 20th of Sept, but I don't know if it would be plausible to actually get up there from London when I don't know anyone. Does anyone know if there's a train that goes up there and if there is, how long would it take? Thanks again everyone!
  18. Aw bloody hell. Alright... i'll stop by the bank and get some pounds as well, i suppose. Thanks for the information once again bigpop!
  19. another thing... Most of the other countries are showing prices in Euroes, but I'm noticing that England's still posting everything in British Pounds. Am I going to have a problem spending Euroes in England?
  20. you know, i saw that site while I was researching... should i get that Youth Card? Is it worth it? also, the card from www.londonpass.com
  21. thanks a ton, man. I've been looking at, www.hostels.com as well... very good site. Still haven't found a hostel in London, but I'm leaning towards this place called the Flying Pig or Stayokay in Amsterdam. Thanks for the sites though, big! I"ll keep doing research through those that you provided. Anyone else got something to recommend?? OH, what about PARTY PLACES!? I'm hearing FABRIC in London... anyone know what it's like?
  22. Hey folks! I'm planning a trip to London from Sept 19 through the 24th. I'm looking into hotels but everything in the city itself looks to be kinda expensive. I've never been to Europe and I'm jumping into this deaf, dumb and blind, HEAD FIRST. Can anyone let me know where I can stay and what I can do? I'm looking for a hotel for around $40 (US) or so a night. Nothing fancy, obviously and it's just going to be me. ALRIGHT PEOPLE.... show the love... thanks!
