You are correct sir! Calderone is trying to change his sound and style to bring in a more diversified crowd. He's said it in interviews past that he wants to get away from the circuit parties so that more people feel welcome at his gigs. Never have I ever had a problem at one of Vic's parties. The gay men there welcomed me with open arms and I pretty much always went there solo. As for Junior, I've seen him a few times and also seen him get on the mic and say, "All you fish (ie women) leave and go to Factory". His crowd generally tries to push the women out - and that's simply being said from experience. Maybe Junior is looking to "change" as well. His Jersey set kind of makes me think there's hope for his female followers but only time will tell. Either way, whoopdeedoo! I got Calderone on a bi-monthly session and that's ALL a girl can ask for!

Spirit AND Crobar are going to be wonderful additions to the scene. The fabulous part about it is, I think Spirit opens late this month and then Crobar about a week later! *happy happy joy joy*

Dude, you hittin' the crack pipe or somethin'? I've seen Calderone PLENTY of times and there sure is no third arm hangin' between my legs. I even met the man, in the booth, at Vinyl when he spun about two years ago. He's trying to change his sound and move away from what he use to be. The reason behind that is to pull in a more diversified crowd. To Victor, it's all about the music and the feel good vibes. He doesn't care if you're gay, straight, black, white, male female...WHATEVA! Just come and dance and he's happy. The man is amazing and definitely will bring new goodness to the scene. This is EXACTLY what I have been waiting for! Finally, my wishes have been answered!

No way will it be another Exit. This place will at least pull in "quality" DJs....not DJ Skribbles. lol December 5th is the date they are supposively set to open. The only thing that matters: Calderone is a resident!

In my experience, I've found that any of the websites which you can use to post your resume for job placement is nothing but a waste of time. Employers check your resume and move on. And in the end. all you really get are job offers for something not even related to your field. Your best bet is to research companies that are in your field. Check out their websites and usually, they'll have posted what jobs are listed. Good luck! And if all else fails....HEADHUNTERS! (Oh yea, NETWORKING is always key. If you deal with clients and companies in your job, talk with them, get your name out and see if they know anyone hiring. Speaking to friends is also KEY!)
