someone who spins KTU music can never be the best DJ in NYC....i think people forgot that NYC has some of the biggest names in the world...i just got back from ibiza and these following names were so huge there noone would understand Roger Sanchez Erick Morillo Satoshi Tomiie Scumfrog David Morales Lil Louie Vega etc u cant even put these guys in the same category as Johnny Vicious who i must say was the first DJ i loved but as time goes on u get onto bigger and better things Jonathan Peters is probably one of the worst DJs ive ever heard...the guys not known out of NYC, Boston, Philly or Vegas

i got laid off 3 months ago...i was hoping to have the summer off and by then get a job cause being laid off in the winter is miserable....ive done everything i can and all ive gotten is 3 interviews....1 will take me but the pay is only $30K and the hours are 5 in the morning til 1 in the afternoon....thats not really comparable to the salary i had....even going through people i know isnt getting me anywhere so im living off unemployment...monday i had an interview with Sony Music but it was just a general interview (damn i would love to work there), not for a particular position so who know what will come out of that....it really hasnt affected my summer...i went to vegas and ibiza and plenty of side things like my house in the hamptons but when i got back from ibiza i said i wont be going on anymore trips til i get a job and thats what i did the most and loved to do...overall my summer was insane

Global Underground CDs never give a good indication of how a DJ spins because GU actually gives them a tracklist of about 100 songs and then asks them to pick out which ones the particular DJs like and make a double CD so dont go by that cause i like very few GU compilations....as far as what he played that night, he has a very unique style to his music like nothing we heard in NYC before....hes not really commercial at all which is great....if u want download his stuff and get and idea but his live shit in ridiculoussssssssssssssss...trust me

Can someone please book Darren Emerson when the clubs open...i saw him and Miami during WMC and Ibiza just last week for the Radio 1 weekend and it may have been one of the top 3 sets ive ever heard...him and the artists on his Underwater label are amazing and would be something NYC would love to hear...he doesnt spin in NYC often, maybe once a year so pleaaaseeeeeeeee book him..hes currently doing a tour for his label so im sure he would love to get some burn over here

Was there Radio 1 weekend....im basically paralized from all the partying i did....it was my second year in a row there and it beat any other trip ive been on 10-fold....as insane as it was last year and as great as WMC is, Ibiza is magical....u cant get that vibe anywhere in the US mainly because our cultures are so different from the rest of the world and may i add inferior to the rest of the world when it comes to partying...just the vibe alone kept me going til 8, 9 or 10 in the morning...ive never done a drug in my life and i was basically sober from dancing the alcohol out of me...if u r into drugs though thats a great place for ya...noone give a shit...u can do them whenever, whereever and for dirt cheap...i also heard it was quality stuff too....i met Danny Howells, Darren Emerson, Lottie and a bunch of others....i can get into reviews now but not only is it sadening but it would take wayyyy too long so if someone wants to ask a question go right ahead...it was alotta money considering the Euro is now worth more than the dollar...last year the dollar was a bit more...it would be great to have some educated Americans on the island next year cause theres barely any...i think we met about 10 others other than the 10 we were with (which was a great thing)... start saving now...as far as the best day/night there, it was definitely DC-10 for Circo Loco where Danny Howells played a blinder of a set after their resident Tania Vulkano tore the roof off...i later met Danny and bought him a beer...later that night Roger Sanchez had his Release Yourself night at Pacha....that probably was the best clubbing day of my life...best DJ set belonged to my main man Darren Emerson at Underwater at Pacha Tuesday night

i was in ibiza...just got home today but when a girl told us in a club while seeing sander kleinenberg, ibiza became irrelevant for a second...my room had no TV (let alone a fan or A/C) and noone else on the island is american so it was tough to get any info...but i cant lie i would have loved to see NYC that night

that is wierd cause the house music scene is usually grungy, wear-something-comfortalbe type of scene rather than gettin dressed up or something which is how im taking ur comment about the door....in most house places theres no such thing as being selective at the door but i would love to check it out one day...the thing is if its a place u have to get dressed up its not for me...when i wanna dance i have to wear sneakers or something comfortable

hiphop can be played on the same floor as house if its that garbage u hear on KTU with all the same beats over a different bitch doing some crappy vocals...if its good house like u would hear at Centro Fly it would never work...i used to love hiphop...now its in a sad sad state...every song is either 50 cent or sean paul....its so frigin pathetic...also there way way way more fights in clubs that play hiphop cause u have all these scumbags in there that try to act like the rappers themselves with their chains that they spent their meger salaries on just to look like they got some cash....throwback jerseys and shit...ughh im nauseas thinking about it...hiphop also appeals to younger people for the most part
