  2. Jammy, Well said. I have dated all types... I really believe it's the person not neccessarily the physical characteristics (although sometimes that can REALLY help ) I actually tend to go for tall women (the tallest I dated was 5'11"), but I have also dated shorter women (5'1"). I'm one of the fortunate guys that's not intimidated by height, or intelligence in a woman. I have seen women who were tall who were complete wimps and "petite" women who were total fireball. a1234, Jammy is dead on about that. If you are really concerned about your physical safety, take a self defense course or martial-arts (I know it's already been suggested). And if that guy bothers you again, bring him around our way, I'm sure there are several of us that would like to show him how it feels... Damn I got stuck in a spontaneous meeting and forgot what else I was going to say... Oh well it will come back to me maybe.... ------------------ Hugh a.k.a. ibhugh, Bryan Adams email: ibhugh@yahoo.com aolim: hugesk8r

  8. An ex of mine has done it a bunch of times. She swears by it. She's been to Thailand, Bali and several other places all for the low low price of 19.95!!!! uh... er.... $50.... Sorry wrong thread... hehe But seriously, if you can do the short notice and deal with not carrying much stuff then do it. ------------------ Hugh a.k.a. ibhugh, Bryan Adams email: ibhugh@yahoo.com aolim: hugesk8r
  9. I'm sorry to hear that you're going through that.... I was in the exact same situation. My last roommate in San Francisco was exactly the same way. It got so bad that he'd even do it when I was talking on the phone... Even my friends who came over would say "let's get out of here before your roommate shows up"... I jsut got to the point where I would just go in my bedroom and shut the door. What a pain in the ass. I'm really really sorry you have to put up with that deanna... ------------------ Hugh a.k.a. ibhugh, Bryan Adams email: ibhugh@yahoo.com aolim: hugesk8r

  14. I will have to look into those authors... Another one I forgot to mention: Ann Rice -- I've read just about everything she has written... Even some of the assumed name books (Ann Rampling) ------------------ Hugh a.k.a. ibhugh, Bryan Adams email: ibhugh@yahoo.com aolim: hugesk8r
  15. Hey Nicki, I've done it. It was a total blast!!!!! What an experience! I went with a friend who was scared of heights, I don't think it totally cured him of it, but he did say that the dive itself wasen't that bad and it gave him a litttle better perspective. I did the tandem jump and it was great. A little instructional, then you get to jump with a 5000 ft freefall. I disagree with resident for skydiving the first time. Unless you have a couple of days to take a class and doa few jumps, I think you get a better experience from the tandem jump. Most of the time if you do it solo, the first couple of jumps are static line jumping, so you have no freefall. When I did the tandem jump, my "jump master" made us do 2 backflips, then we fell facing upward to see the plane go away, then he flipped us into a barrel roll (~120mph), then a short straight dive, then finally slowed us down a little for getting ready to deploy the chute. Whichever way you end up deciding to do it, def try it though... I would do it again no problem, actually have been condiering it, but I don't know any places out here and it would be hard to compete being able to do it in shorts and a t-shirt like I did in California... ------------------ Hugh a.k.a. ibhugh, Bryan Adams email: ibhugh@yahoo.com aolim: hugesk8r
  16. DaVe, I just tried to get onto the New York board and got the following message: <221>Dec 5 19:31:02 wwwd[18789]: ELAP=1, TO=63.251.167.3, FROM=10.9.194.53, DIR=OUT, INTF=10.27.10.55, PORT=http, PERM=OUT+LOW, USER=2147483645, PPID=25037, ALVL=LOW, CTOS=381, STOC=12119, URL=http://focalink.speedera.net/ads-spd.focalink.com/SmartBanner/chtml/21105.14/image302/117742.gif, ID=ksuIxe4Q, POLICY=Rule #3, MTHD=GET, MSG=connection closed - server closed connection I did get in, but that's another example of some of the failure that we are seeing out here... ------------------ Hugh a.k.a. ibhugh, Bryan Adams email: ibhugh@yahoo.com aolim: hugesk8r

I know I've read more authors than that, but I'm so bad with names though (probably 200+ books) ------------------ Hugh a.k.a. ibhugh, Bryan Adams email: ibhugh@yahoo.com aolim: hugesk8r [This message has been edited by quanto_magnus (edited 12-05-2000).]

  22. For me it all depends... Today I got in at 9:30-ish and probably won't leave until almost 7pm. Other day it's like 8am until 10pm, 11pm, 12am or whenever we can't keep our eyes open anymore. The converse is also true though. Got in to work on Monday at 10:30, left at 5pm... Went to work for like 15 minutes last Friday... ------------------ Hugh a.k.a. ibhugh, Bryan Adams email: ibhugh@yahoo.com aolim: hugesk8r
  23. k_car said it pretty well... attractive (at least to me). a great personality make someone so much more attractive, while a biatch looks uglier as time goes on. - sweet. sweet is different from nice in that a sweet person does the little things to let you know that they are thinking about you. - intelligent. doesn't need to be a rocket scientist, but should be able to hold a decent conversation. - unselfish... is there such a woman? hahaha! just kidding. - good with people, especially with family and friends. - honest, sincere, loyal, etc. - last but not least, GREAT IN BED!!! my additions. - Someone who accepts me for who I am and not who they think I could be. - A little KINK (ok, ok a lot of KINK) doesn't hurt... heh heh - Someone who is straight forward. Been with a few that like the head games (hate it!!!!) Just my .02 ------------------ Hugh a.k.a. ibhugh, Bryan Adams email: ibhugh@yahoo.com aolim: hugesk8r
  24. You might also try Twilo, Exit, or Sound Factory... ------------------ Hugh a.k.a. ibhugh, Bryan Adams email: ibhugh@yahoo.com aolim: hugesk8r
  25. Well that's the key it was written in. I supposed you could get an ensemble to transpose it, but it would sound the same just a different key... Where are you hearing this all the time?? Divalicious -- I bet there's a lot of people that know something about classical... ------------------ Hugh a.k.a. ibhugh, Bryan Adams email: ibhugh@yahoo.com aolim: hugesk8r
