i suppose i'm just used to self-centered conduct - and therefore all-too-quick experiences - in the bedroom .

keebler's soft batch chocolate chip cookies. i never buy these anymore. i will eat the whole package in one night. candy corn. mmmmm. problem is, though, that my throat starts to close up as i eat too much . i wonder if i'm allergic or if it's just a case of "too much of anything is too much." i like grapes a lot, lostin310, but they give me a tummyache if i eat too many; that doesn't happen to you?

i was thinking about turning right on green just today! someone was waiting for pedestrians to finish crossing before she turned right on green and another car was waiting behind her. the light had just been green for less than half a minute, and the car behind the first one honked. i think that honking is unforgivable unless one is warning someone else of a potential accident, but that notwithstanding, that second car could've just chilled and waited out the rest of the minute or so; his turn would've come. but i do feel you. sometimes it seems that some people purposely slow down once they hit a crosswalk, just 'cause they can . driving in new york city is almost impossible!!!

today marks the third anniversary of my true emancipation on the dancefloor - the night when i first went all out, unquestionably followed something inside me, and finally felt like i belonged out there. i was no longer afraid of what others would think of me; i didn't think at all, myself. i stepped out on an almost empty floor to some music that was entirely unfamiliar to me (thank you, space girl!!!), and suddenly i was unfamiliar to myself. since then, i'm no longer in the dance, but of it. and i can't imagine it any other way .

gas is also just air, but farts are more frowned upon 'cause they stink .

there are some things that i can eat a whole package of in one sitting: some things that i always buy in mass quantities because that happens, and things that i never buy because that happens. ugh. i swear, these foods must have crack in them. i want to write down a list and see if i'm not the only one who has a problem with these !!! 1. pringles. ok, i think this is a widespread problem. the ad campaign of "once you pop, you can't stop" is actually an accurate one, and i don't think it came before the fact. 2. kentucky fried chicken. i could eat that stuff all the time, so i never do. 3. dreyer's grand light cookies and cream ice cream. i don't like ice cream 'cause it's too rich, so this "light" stuff is just right. i first tried it 'cause it was on sale at ralph's, and i love it. i can eat a whole half gallon in one day . if it weren't on sale at ralph's or sav-on so much, maybe i wouldn't get it ... i've got more. what about you?

this topic comes up every now and again . my views on it have changed over time. when i went home to new york after college and didn't have any friends who liked to go out dancing, i didn't go out for 6 months. it took a rave with a particularly interesting lineup to get myself out and brave a party alone (i'm gonna talk about that party tomorrow, actually; it was a pivotal night in my life, 3 years ago tomorrow ). after that night, i went out alone all the time. but i kept running into the same people, and always had fun talking to new people, too. but now that i live out here and go out with my friends whenever i go out, if no one wants to go out to an event or just out on a night that i do, i tend not to go at all. i think it's just 'cause i've been spoiled. and people aren't as approachable in clubland as they are at raves; i think that has something to do with getting older and putting up walls. i find it's a lot harder to start up conversations with strangers when they're older, even though it's definitely easier in l.a. than it is in new york. but if it's a dj that i really love, i'll go alone .

or maybe it's just for men.
