I'm afraid I got another question... what kinda dress codes are there in Miami? Are trainers accepted in clubs there? The more 'underground' clubs here just want trendies in and cool trainers are fine but the more cheesy, commercial music playing clubs nearly always have a smart shoe policy - I can't dance solidly for hours in a pair of shoes!
Space sometimes has side shows with midgets on trainers.
You should be fine with trainers.

Check outthe Damon Dimension, brand new hotel that just opened up in Dania Beach, offers free shuttle in limo or bang bus needs to fort lauderdale miami etc and back, only catch is that BJ's and other favors are asked to be done on the spot, no refunds, dont stay in shitty hotels like the midget rican hotel "victor" that place is a shit hole waiting to be blown down and the "catch me cause Im gay" phillipioo motel is the biggest jerk off place in the state of florida, so check that place out, seems reasonable

I stayed at the Beacon this past weekend. First time there. I would say it was sufficient. Beds comfy. Service good, Clean rooms. Quiet. Reasonably priced. Only room for two people each room though. 3 chicks would be a sardine can.
PERFECT LOCATION at 7th and Ocean.
May not be the loud party place you are looking for. Plenty of other places to do that.

For the brief time I was there the (maybe 45 minutes) music was pretty good. Not great. I think Vaughn was spinning. Introduced briefly. Wasn't able to talk much as he was busy behind the decks.
Introduced myself to Phil briefly and got to say hello to Funk on my way out. I think I saw some other familiar faces from the boards but didn't get to talk to any of them.
The only gripe I had was the dude/chick ratio was bad which was why my friends wanted to leave for Pawn Shop (which might I add was really good).
Song of the week for me this weekend was 'Tom Novy - Your Body' I think I heard it 3 different times. Frickin love that song.
