Last nite...myself and Robin invented a new language, I'd like to call it "holy shit!" b/c for the first hour of johnny's set...all we said was "holy shit" Yes that was me on stage with my phone in the air leaving my sorry-ass partner paulie voicemails to give him maybe 1/1000th of an idea of what was occuring. Okay--Dibs on wendy phillips dancer to the right--carrie--much love..and also to the angels...last nite was really heaven-- Musically~~ When DJ Surg opened playing all JV's peak our shit..me and robin had had enuff...so we went looking for Lanie--she explained to us that it was okay that he was playing hard b/c johnny had declared it "WHITE LABEL NITE"--we felt a lot better after that--thanks CCD:D Also the upcoming plans insure that that place is gonna have a line onto the West Side Highway again week after week...great atmosphere last nite... Vicious--what can i say--this man is truely my inspiration as a dj...when i spin--if i can sound even like him for just a second...Im happy:D The Man did not stop working in that booth--Some people thought his loops were a bit tedious...NOT I!!! songs destoyed Renegade Master (WITH BLADE!!) boston and RI b/c people are feeling the hard shit up there...they have acosta, dj wag, and everyone like that up there constantly-- in nyc there were 2 dj's playing hard--draper (and we all know what happened there) and Johnny who is the only chance we have to get jam x and deleon, project, bossi or any of the quality hard trancers from over there to come here.... everyone for the most part in the nyc scene is starting to bend towards either Jp's dirty tech or DT's 128bpm style--- i dunno why--but the hard trance almost seems looked down upon--maybe thats why they havent come or ny.. or maybe no one booked them as of yet? many good points have been made... but I agreed with most of them in my original post--- YES--I already said that GTI inside SF is a different 'experience' hence the going thru it name (good call on that one barry)-- the whole reason for my reply was b/c the impression I got was not "GTI shouldn't be played anywhere else" not "GTI is better inside factory"--which is what most of you are saying-- I am a huge fan on Jonathan's productions but often can't make it down to SF to hear them---So now we shouldn't be able to hear GTI @ roxy or exit or barry's gig over there in rutgers? It is a Sick song--u people are forgetting why he sits down to make this music... Now Im not saying anyone has said this yet--BUT--are u guys willing to go as far as saying any of Luz's tracks shouldnt be outside the crack shack either??? God forbid the talented girl gets to a chance to become a superstar with a voice like that--make $$ for both her and JP and anyone involved in making these amazing tracks??? I dont mean to stir up beef here--it seems to be mre of a misunderstanding---you guys are as passionate about SF as I am for my music--so to CLARIFY---if u mean that NOTHING is the same as GTI inside SF with JP working the track-the lights going crazy and the pandamonium ensuing--I agree with ya'll-- but to go as far as saying the song shouldn't be played anywhere else?? i hear what ur saying-- i just wanted to add 1 thing.. When he was droppin U and thunder in paradise and the second trip back at the tunnel (yes i was there)--those were the bangin hard trance imports of the moment...they had just come out So now he's rocking soundlovers, the crowd track, and a few other imports that are banging--he still fucks with blends and loops and acapellas....It is definitely a different sound than the infamous Tunnel days and SF sets...but its still hott and theres not many DJ's that can touch him as far as I see right now.. you people amaze me. Granted, it wasnt JP who dropped the track and there was no efx, no garth dub, no acapellas, no 30 minute long extension or anything--but the way I see it. I can appreiciate the track more now If I goto Factory and hear what JP does with it. That is pretty selfish that you "factory-heads" are showing displeasure that GTI was played in another club. So Jonathan just makes music for those people who goto factory. Forget about me. I work spinning every saturday and sometimes cannot make it down to SF and stay all hours of the morning. Does that mean that I can never enjoy GTI? I agree....I'm sure there's nothing like hearing it at SF with the whole lights show and seeing people flip out and hearing whatever JP does to it--- Hearing my track at my club upstate and hearing it in exit with snow coming down ws almost 2 different songs. JP makes musik for the people--not just for the apple-grabbers, k bumpers and meth freaks. I think you people are jumping to conclusions. Its not like the song was played on KTU. Plus it was a guest DJ who played the CD once when a Deeper guy let him 'borrow' the cd. So I doubt until its released:laugh: I will hear it again anywhere other than SF unless I dont make it down. With so many distinctions in musik and in the nyc scene, it seems like there is some anamosity btw "vinyl heads" and "SF heads" and "former exit heads" and I try to stay cool with everyone and just enjoy the variety we have in NYC....but at this pt...SF heads that are saying what was said above get a huge:knife: Mike BuGouT
