okay so its sunday but i been partying all weekend and Im not done partying yet so imma take this small break to give my take on friday nite... my first week chillin with the stage crew for the majority of the time--I agree with what Msoprano said...only place in rocy where i dance is on the stage:D See Cody I can dance a lil bit-- Musically, Johnny played great--I wudda got there earlier if I knew he was opening but Im glad I caught FLOOOOWWWW...and Outa Space was also nice....onto Derb Starting with derbis pissed me off something fierce but the Stage crews "KTU, KTU, KTU chant set me at ease--i was cracking up--but he did play some good shit--lots of project,derb stuff obviously, arome, hennes and cold (the sound of rock!!) Mixing wise he was tight--a bit cocky as each mix came in he threw his headphones off and just rocked with his cig in his mouth--but the mixes were tight nonetheless-- his programming took a severe hit in my book when he tried to bring his set down by playing ChooChoo (every fuckin day) and Miami but thats when i left--all in all i liked derb--give him a 6 outta 10-- Lemme see if i can remember everyone here.. I was gonna do this in a sep topic but theres no need so I'll just put it here... We spun from 9-1130, but no one was there until 10 (i think Bouncyball from the Exp Board was the only girl running around the dancefloor which was cool) We figured we'd play vocals but Manny told us to let loose so I played Aquagen, Children, and a few other trancy bangers, not too hard.... Musically, manny did well....Track of the night was Burning Up (rivera's Dub)....played it 2wice...including the last song of the night with all of us in the booth...Good thing ya'll who didnt like the bullhorn left b/c i dont let he let go of it for the last 10 mins we were open:laugh: As far as the party....thank you to everyone who came out and made me and paulies party a great time--Its one of the best times I've had at that club and it def was like that b/c u guys/gals showed up... Mike, Jay, Alan (you're welcome...i still have no clue how me and binoy got u back in)--you guys come support us all the time everywhere--u guys are the shit.... dog 6... first of all.....of all genres of music, ours is one that is starting to more and more use the internet as a way to communicate and spread the word about our music.....danny t regularly sends dimitry messages to post on NCC, vicious posts here, JP even has his own message board where he posts-- so the fact that lou posts here doesnt make him any lesser of a dj/producer... i will agree with u that hes gotta learn to take the criticism, everyone on here thinks they know everything about music when the majority have never made a track or mixed in their lives--yet u still gotta take it....Not everyone likes my track, and b/c draper plays it every week, people now think of it as 'exit cheese'...i look at that and say, my track is being played for the largest audience in nyc....either way, you have a right to your opinion... louie is my boy and turns out more trax than anyone i know of, a lot of them are great and have madd potential....i know for a fact they get radio play up here in westchester and club play in jersey at abyss (manny likes some of his stuff also)....its all a matter of opinion... keep up the good work louie...
